LA Rams vs. New Orleans Saints NFL coverage tips & winning odds
Betting Line: Saints -2
Over/Under: 59.5 points at 888 Sportsbook
The Rams were tested in their last game in a two-point win over the Green Bay Packers, but remain the only undefeated team in the 2018 NFL season ahead of their clash against the red-hot Saints this week.
The Saints have won six straight games and have a strong record against the Rams, having triumphed in three of their last four match-ups.
The Rams are solid on both sides of the ball, have a couple of mid-season MVP candidates in quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley, and rank third in the NFL in points per game and sixth in points allowed per game.
The Saints are atop the NFC South, but they only lead the Carolina Panthers by one game. While the Rams have not been blowing teams out New Orleans has, as in three of their last four games they have won by at least 10 points. Drew Brees continues to get it done at the ripe old age of 40 and while he did not have a big game in his last one he leads a Saints team that is the second highest scoring team in the league.
Last season these teams met in L.A. where the Rams came out ahead beating the Saints 26-20.
This season the Rams are 4-4 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 3-5 with the Saints at 5-2 ATS with an Over/Under record of 3-5.
In the last six games between these teams the home team has covered the spread every time.
The Rams beat the Green Bay Packers 29-27 in their last game where they forced a fumble late that iced the win. The Rams had 416 total yards in the game and they gave up 359 yards.
Goff has had a great season under center and in the win over the Packers he passed for 295 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Gurley may have pushed his name to the forefront of the MVP race with his performance against the Packers where he not only rushed for 114 yards he also led L.A. with 81 receiving yards. Gurley leads the NFL in rushing yards per game and will face off with a New Orleans run defense that is the top-ranked unit in the league.
The Saints have been solid against the run this season, but against the pass is another story, as they only rank 28th in pass defense.
The Saints won their last game against the Vikings even though they were outgained 423 yards to 270 yards. They scored a defensive and special teams TD and the running back duo of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara combined for 108 rushing yards. Brees only passed for 120 yards with a touchdown and an interception any time the Saints do not have to rely on Brees to carry the offense they are in good shape.
Can the Rams get to Brees? Can the Saints get to Goff? Well, the pass rush edge goes to the Rams, as they rank tied for eighth in the league in sacks while New Orleans only ranks 23rd.

LA Rams vs. New Orleans Saints betting prediction
The Rams have a legit team that is a Super Bowl contender, but they will not end the season undefeated, because the Saints will get the win in this game.
Brees will put up good numbers, they will run the ball well, and keep Gurley and Goff from going off.
This game will be close just like the Rams last game, but unlike that game, LA will not come out on top.
New Orleans will win and cover keeping their winning streak alive and they will send the Rams to their first loss of the season.
