EPL 2021/22 Sunday’s Matchweek 25 betting tips & top value picks

After a strong Saturday which saw us go 2-0 in our picks for +4.4 units, we return with some more picks for Sunday’s slate. Despite having only four games, there is still a lot of value on the board, so let’s dig into it and find some winners.

Aston Villa at Newcastle

In a matchup between one overachieving and one underachieving team, you may be surprised to see us pick the underachievers. Aston Villa lost their best player in Jack Grealish but Steven Gerrard’s men have been able to right the ship and rise up to a respectable 11th place. They brought in Philippe Coutinho in the January transfer window in order to build up their attack but they have yet to find that true replacement for Grealish. Still, though, they have played good, consistent football and remain a threat in any game.

Newcastle had a miserable start to the season but have recently been playing better and haven’t lost any of their last four games. They now sit at 17th place in the Prem and led by Frenchman Allan St. Maximin, they have been able to climb out of a relegation spot. After a bevy of signings in the recent transfer window, Newcastle and their new owners have found their stride a little bit. They haven’t lost at home to Villa in their last 12 matches so we expect that trend to continue in what should be a hard fought battle.

Wolves at Tottenham

Tottenham as a favorite will never have you feeling super confident but they have been very strong at home this season. With a record of 7-1-3 at White Hart Lane, they have proven to be a tough out in front of their supporters. Despite some recent slip ups, Tottenham have largely been in the range they expected to be in, even though their more optimistic supporters will call this season a failure. Harry Kane has started to play the elite football we are used to and Tottenham should win relatively comfortably at home.

The Wolves, on the other hand, have been pretty good this season. They sit in eighth place, one spot below Tottenham but have lost their last two matches and have struggled to find a replacement for star winger Adama Traore. Even though they have a strong team with the ability to win tough games, we expect Tottenham to get a much needed win and continue their fight for a Champions League spot.

West Ham at Leicester City

West Ham have been the definitive surprise of the Premier League season. They currently sit in fourth place and will look to continue their plight into that second tier of Premier League teams. While Leicester have been disappointing this season and are stuck in 13th place, they do have the talent to match West Ham and should put up a good challenge in front of their home supporters. Although West Ham have been the better team all season, this will be an entertaining fixture where the value of a draw is too good to pass up.
