Boston Celtics at Toronto Raptors

This matchup between two serious Eastern Conference threats will be an awesome game. Both of these teams have been surging and have been playing great basketball. The Celtics are the current no.1 seed in the East and are one of the best teams in the East. However, this will be a tough matchup and they may be without some key players. The Celtics played yesterday and it is trending that Jayson Tatum will take a rest day. The Celtics also received news that Robert Williams will be out with a torn meniscus, and his loss will be huge. Williams is a huge contributor on defense and it will be hard to adjust without him.

While the Celtics are the hottest team in the NBA, the Raptors are also playing great basketball. Toronto has gone 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 and will be looking to climb higher in the playoff seeding. Not only are they healthier than the Celts, but they are also more rested. The Celtics may have more talent, but the Raptors can beat anyone. Nick Nurse is amongst the elite coaches in the league and will have a great plan to take advantage of Williams’ absence. Take the Raptors -4.5 in what should be a great game.

Sacramento Kings at Miami Heat

The Kings are a bad team. They have a dearth of talent and no real objective for their future. However, they have been scrappy recently and are a respectable 4-2 against the spread in their last six games. The reason the Kings are the pick is not about their team, though, and it is more of an indictment on the Heat.

The Heat have spent a lot of their season in first place and still have a 47-28 record. They do not, however, look like that team and have lost four straight games. They are in a bit of a free-fall and have some embarrassing losses in recent weeks. They are 0-7 against the spread in their last seven and just cannot be trusted. While they can definitely turn it around, this will not be the game. Although they are way better than the Kings, Miami’s poor play has been really affecting their morale and they’ll have a tough time motivating themselves for this matchup. Take the Kings +13 and hope they can keep it close.
