NFL Offensive Player of the Year betting picks & predictions

Unlike the MVP, the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award doesn’t solely go to quarterbacks. Over the past five years, one QB, one running back and three wide receivers have taken home the title. Here are our top OPOTY betting picks for the 2023-2024 NFL season.

Nick Chubb

Nick Chubb is coming off four straight seasons with at least 1,000 rushing yards for the Cleveland Browns. Last year, the running back had 13 touchdowns and just over 1,750 combined rushing and receiving yards. He could be even better this year. The Browns let running back Kareem Hunt leave in the offseason and he was heavily utilized last year, racking up 123 carries and 44 targets. Without a clear backup like Hunt, Chubb should be even more active on this Browns offense.

Garrett Wilson

As the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, Garrett Wilson is ready to have a huge season for the New York Jets. Last year, the wide receiver caught 83 passes for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns. With new quarterback Aaron Rodgers in town, he should be even better. The key for Wilson will be touchdowns, but Rodgers has thrown for 25 or more touchdowns in each of the past five seasons. The Jets only threw 15 last year. With the quarterback upgrade, Wilson should be much more active around the redzone, and considering his age, he should improve his play beyond just catching TDs.

Jalen Hurts

As last year’s MVP runner-up, Jalen Hurts is in line to have another huge season under center for the Philadelphia Eagles. His ability to scramble allows him to compile stats with ease. Hurts threw for 22 touchdowns last year and added 13 more on the ground — in only 15 games. If he can stay healthy, he should put up similar numbers on a very good Eagles team — and if that happens, voters will have a hard time picking against him.

Rhamondre Stevenson

Last year, New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson only received 210 carries, but he caught 69 passes. If he can grab more carries, as he projects to with the departure of Damien Harris, he could put up some major numbers. Also, Stevenson only found the endzone six times last year, but this season, with a new offensive coordinator, there is more optimism for the Patriots offense — and Stevenson should be the biggest beneficiary.
