This game is for all the marbles, as the winner will win the NFC West. The loser of this game will be a Wild Card team and have to hit the road for the first round of the playoffs. If the 49ers win they will also have the top-seed in the NFC and get a bye for the first round of the playoffs and have home field advantage. If Seattle wins they will likely be the third seed and host a first round playoff game.

The Seahawks are coming off a costly 27-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in their last game. Not only was the loss costly because of playoff seedings but leading RB Chris Carson, who ranks fifth in the league in rushing yards, was injured and is out for the rest of the season.

The beast is back! Carson is the third RB for Seattle to be lost for the season due to injury and the Seahawks brought back Beast Mode Marshawn Lynch as well as Robert Turbin on Monday to help in the backfield. Lynch was a star in Seattle for a few seasons before playing two with the Oakland Raiders and he has not played this season.

The 49ers have won two of their last three games and in their last game they beat the L.A. Rams 34-31 on a last second field goal. Earlier this season in San Francisco the Seahawks beat the 49ers 27-24 in overtime. The Seahawks are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight home games against the 49ers. The Seahawks lost to the Cardinals in their last game was at home and they are only 4-3 at home this season while the 49ers are 6-1 on the road. In their loss to the Cardinals in their last game the Seahawks were outgained 412 yards to 224 yards. They only rushed for 91 yards while they gave up 253 rushing yards.

Russell Wilson passed for 169 yards in the loss to the Cardinals with one touchdown and no interceptions and was sacked five times. He passed for 232 yards with a score and a pick rushing for 53 yards in the earlier win over the 49ers. He may have to shoulder the load more with a depleted RB corps and the Seahawks hope Beast Mode can be ready for this big game.

In their wild 34-31 win over the Rams in their last game the 49ers were outgained 395 yards to 334 yards and gave up 323 passing yards. They also had two turnovers forcing one but scored two defensive / special teams touchdowns.

Jimmy Garoppolo passed for 248 yards with a touchdown and accounted for both of the 49ers’ turnovers with two interceptions. The team rushed for 119 yards in the win led by Raheem Mostert with 53 yards. In the earlier loss to the Seahawks the 49ers only rushed for 87 yards.

Matt Breida (607 yards) was the lead back for most of the season but after missing some time with injury he has not played well and did not get a carry in the win over the Rams. He was injured in the Seattle game several weeks back and in that game only rushed for 18 yards on 10 carries.

The Seahawks’ defense did not look good in the loss to the Cardinals and overall they rank 27th in the league against the pass and 24th against the run.
