Tua Tagovailoa and Trevor Lawrence are the early favourites for the 2019 Heisman Memorial Trophy.
Last season’s runner-up is the early favourite in 2019 Heisman Trophy betting at Nags.bet, although he has close competition from the rival who thwarted him in the National Championship game.
Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa (+160) rewrote the Alabama record books by completing 67.7% of his passes for 3,353 yards, 37 TD and only four INT. His injury in the SEC title game may have cost him the Heisman last season, but he has a loaded WR corps and the best NCAAF betting lines to win the top award this season.
All Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence (+185) did last season was take over the Tigers as a freshman and lead the team to the national title with a big win over Alabama in the championship game. He did not play the whole season but still racked up over 2,600 passing yards with 24 TD and only four INT. It helps that Clemson have a ton of weapons to help him put up big numbers.

Can Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts (+1200) make it three in a row for the Sooners? The last two Heisman winners have been Oklahoma QBs that transferred to the school and Hurts is the third guy in line for the big award. He was great for Bama before Tagovailoa took the reins and should light it up in Norman with a dynamic aerial and ground attack.
Nebraska QB Adrian Martinez (+1200) is a dual-threat signal caller that last season passed for 2,671 yards and 17 TD with eight INT and also rushed for 629 yards and eight TD. The Huskers were only 4-8 in 2018 due to issues on defense and that may be the case again this year, so he may have to put up huge numbers for them to win – a fact that may well help his Heisman cause.

Ohio State QB Justin Fields (+1300) is a transfer from Georgia who takes over for the Buckeyes with Dwayne Haskins now in the NFL. He is a multi-dimensional QB that was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and will inherit an Ohio State offense that has many weapons.
Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor (+2000) is the top non-QB in the early Heisman betting markets. All he has done in his first two seasons is rack up nearly 4,000 yards with 28 TD. He will get a heavy workload this season but has to rack up a ton of yards on the ground for any chance at the Heisman.
Georgia QB Jake Fromm (+2200) is in his third season as the Bulldogs’ starting QB. In the past two seasons he has passed for 5,376 yards with 54 TD and only 13 INT, while last year he ranked fifth in the nation in passing efficiency. Although UGA are known as a running team they will be more balanced this season and Fromm has the green light to call plays. However, the team also has Heisman candidate RB D’Andre Swift (+4500) and that could hurt Fromm’s chances.
Texas QB Sam Ehlinger (+2500) passed for 3,127 yards with 25 TD and five INT last year and also rushed for 418 yards with 13 TD. He has the tools and the weapons to win the Heisman and his play in-conference will have a big impact on his Heisman chances, especially if he can lead Texas back to national prominence.
Oregon QB Justin Herbert (+2500) bypassed a potential no.1 selection in the last NFL draft to return for the Ducks. While his numbers last year were not eye-popping, his pro potential is. Anyone who stands 6’6” and has a rocket arm will always be wanted at the next level, but can the senior play-caller win the top college football award before moving on to bigger things?
