There are only four weeks left in this NFL season and the playoff picture is nearly set. While there are still a bunch of teams fighting over Wild Card spots, the tiers of the NFL’s elite teams are relatively clear. This Thursday, we have an awesome divisional battle between the 7-6 Seattle Seahawks and the 9-4 San Francisco 49ers. This is going to be an important battle for playoff seeding and we have some picks for the contest.

49ers @ Seahawks spread pick: Seattle +3.5

In this battle, we are taking the home underdog. In this divisional matchup, the game could truly go either way and while the Niners have an elite defense, the Seahawks have the weapons to beat them. This game projects to be a low scoring affair due to both defenses’ aptitude and while the Niners have shut teams down recently, it will be hard for them to gameplan for this game. On short rest, the Seahawks should have the advantage and considering the injuries to San Francisco’s offense, the Hawks’ defense could look good. In this contest between two playoff hopefuls, take the underdog as there isn’t really a lot to differentiate these teams.

49ers @ Seahawks total points: Under 43.5

Once again, we are taking an under on Thursday night and it makes sense to do so. At this point in the season, both teams are dealing with a lot of injuries and the lack of rest will make it hard for a lot of guys to suit up. As of right now, important players on both teams are on the injury report and considering the Thursday game, they likely will not play. This could create an ugly game environment where points will be hard to come by. While these are both good teams with strong offenses, the short week will hinder the offensive firepower and the under is the play in this spot.

Seahawks touchdown scorer pick: Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett is the number two receiver for the Seattle Seahawks and he should have another good game. The Niners’ defense will be focusing on D.K. Metcalf and that attention will allow Lockett to get open. Lockett has scored in six straight games and despite his slender frame, he has become quite a redzone weapon. While points will be hard to come by, Lockett’s TD odds are far too long and he is a great bet to score in what could be his seventh consecutive game.

George Kittle total receiving yards: Over 40.5

George Kittle is the superstar tight end for San Francisco and he is in line for a huge game. Despite the fact that backup QB Brock Purdy is expected to start, Kittle should shred a Seahawks defense that has given up over 60 yards per game to tight ends. Kittle operates all over the field and he is the type of player that can be very beneficial to inexperienced QBs. In this contest, we expect Purdy to lean on him and for Kittle to hit this over with ease.
