Betano launches online casino & sportsbook in Ontario

Online gaming and sports betting operator Betano has launched its products into the newly regulated Ontario gambling market. It marks the North American debut of the brand and its parent company, Kaizen Gaming.

Betano’s launch coincides with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, with the company acting as one of the tournament’s regional partners for Europe. It also comes during the peak season of major American sports leagues like the NBA, NHL, and NFL.

Betano primarily operates in LatAm and European markets and boasts a portfolio of more than 30 different sports. The operator also houses over 1,000 casino games in its iGaming rollout in Ontario. According to the press release, the company intended to offer “a superior gaming experience to customers” in its offerings across the Canadian province.

Julio Iglesias Hernando, the COO of Kaizen Gaming, revealed that the company was excited about the launch into new markets and noted that it was new territory for them.

“We are excited to enter a new market, but also a new territory for Betano and Kaizen Gaming,” Hernando said.

“The competition is intense in Ontario, but we are confident that with our solid product offering, backed by our proprietary technology, we will offer a superior sports betting and gaming experience to millions of Canadians.”

Kaizen Gaming was recently named Operator of the Year during the 2022 iteration of the EGR Awards. Besides Betano, the company also operates Stoiximan in its 12 markets across Latin America and Europe.

The game developer has also been strengthening its hold in other places, such as Brazil, where Betano introduced new FBMDS games.
