The NFL is slowly winding to a close and we only have five weeks before the playoffs begin. Week 13 kicked off with the Buffalo Bills dismantling the New England Patriots on their home field and while that wasn’t a great game, the Sunday slate has some interesting matchups. Here are our best picks for the NFL action coming this weekend.

Atlanta Falcons vs Pittsburgh Steelers

This is an interesting line and one that represents an overreaction to the Steelers’ recent success. Pittsburgh have won two of their past three games and they are playing better, but they are by no means a good team. The Steelers still have a 4-7 record, a struggling rookie QB, and one of the league’s worst defenses. While the Falcons aren’t a good team, they have no business being home underdogs in this spot. The Falcons should be able to limit a struggling Steelers offense enough to come away with a close win in this contest.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Tennessee Titans

This is going to be a great game. The 10-1 Eagles will host the 7-4 Titans and while the Eagles aren’t as dominant as they were early in the season, they should win this contest. The Eagles boast an explosive offense and a great defense and they should be able to slow down a one-dimensional Titans offense. Although the Titans can run the ball successfully, they have a tough time passing and Ryan Tannehill looks like he may be a backup in the coming seasons. The Eagles should do enough defensively to limit the Titans running game to coast in this game and easily cover the spread.

In the same game, we are going to take the Eagles’ QB, Jalen Hurts, to score a touchdown. This season, Hurts has eight rushing touchdowns and he is capable of scoring from anywhere on the field. The athletic QB has raised his play this season and he has turned into one of the best redzone options across the entire league. In this game, he should once again find the endzone and this bet is great value.

Houston Texans vs Cleveland Browns

The Texans are the worst team in the league but at home, we think they can keep it close. This game will mean a lot to them due to the return of their former QB, Deshaun Watson and that should motivate this Texans team. Watson hasn’t played in almost two years and he forced a trade from Houston in the last offseason. That likely will not sit well with the Texans and they should come out angry in this game. Beyond that, Watson will likely be rusty due to his lack of game action and that will help the Texans keep this game close. Lastly, the Browns just aren’t very good and this 4-7 team shouldn’t be favored by a touchdown in any game, let alone an away game. Take Houston to cover in what should actually be an emotional and close game.

San Fransico 49ers vs Miami Dolphins

This is going to be another great game on this Week 13 slate. The 7-4 Niners will host the 8-3 Dolphins in this pivotal matchup and once again, we are taking the home team. Last year, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel was the offensive coordinator for the Niners and this will be his return to the team that made him. While McDaniel has done a great job with Miami, he should be overmatched in this game. Typically, Niners coach Kyle Shanahan beats up on his former disciples and this game should be no different. We expect San Francisco to use their potent rushing attack to control this game and come away with another big win against a good team.

Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks

The Rams have essentially given up on this season. Their QB, Matthew Stafford is likely to be out for the rest of the season and now, the Rams are sitting some of their key defensive players. This all works for the Seahawks’ rookie running back, Kenneth Walker. Walker already has nine rushing touchdowns on the season and he basically didn’t play the first three weeks. He has already established himself as an elite running back and in this game where the Seahawks are projected to win, he should get a ton of work. Walker should once again find the endzone and while this is a short line, it should be even shorter considering what the Rams’ defense will look like in this contest.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs

Here is another fantastic game on the Week 13 slate. The 7-4 Bengals will host the 9-2 Chiefs in a rematch of the AFC Championship game and this game should be great. Both of these teams have pretty poor defenses and on offense, there is a ton of firepower. The Chiefs average the most points per game in the NFL and the Bengals average the fifth most. Combine that with porous defense and we could have a shootout. Take the over in this contest and watch both teams march up and down the field.
