After a few stellar Thursday Night Football matchups, the NFL has scheduled a stinker this week as the Los Angeles Rams (3-9) host the Las Vegas Raiders (5-7). Nevertheless, we have some free betting picks to make this game somewhat interesting.

Raiders @ Rams spread pick: Los Angeles +6

The Rams are having one of the worst seasons ever following a Super Bowl victory, but this line is still disrespecting them. While they are awful at the minute, the Raiders are not very good either. The Rams still have some good players on defense and they should be able to slow down the Raiders enough to cover in this game. While the Rams’ offense has been putrid recently, the Raiders have a bottom-five defense that will help LA look better than they are. This will end up being pretty close, and because of that, we are taking the home underdogs.

Raiders @ Rams total points: Under 44.5

This is a pretty fair over/under considering the defensive inconsistencies on both sides, but we have a tough time seeing this game hit the over — especially on a Thursday night, when teams are often a little underdone. Both of these outfits have a few injury concerns, and it could make for an ugly game. Despite the fact that these defenses stink, we cannot trust either offense, so the under is the play for what shapes to be a pretty boring game.

Raiders touchdown scorer pick: Josh Jacobs

When the Raiders score a touchdown, it either goes to Davante Adams or Josh Jacobs. And we like Jacobs this week. The Rams struggle to stop the run, and although this is a short line for a touchdown bet, Jacobs cannot be contained right now. The Raiders running back has 10 touchdowns this season and four in his last four games. The Raiders are struggling to move the ball without Jacobs, who has the second-most carries in the league, and he should get 20-plus touches in this spot.

Cam Akers total rushing yards: Over 44.5

After being banished to a few games of inactivity, Cam Akers has re-entered the backfield rotation for the Rams and is actually running the ball well. He has cleared 60 yards in two of his past three games, and while it’s not consistent work, it’s enough. Against the Raiders’ terrible rushing defense, we like Akers to go over this number with ease. Also, because we think this game will be close, the Rams should stick with the run game longer than they would if they were to get blown out.
