Casino gaming & sports betting provider Mansion Group departs UK

Casino gaming and online sports betting provider Mansion Group has closed its UK online casino businesses following the shutdown of its sports betting operation in March 2022.

The online casino brands in question are Casino.com, SlotHeaven.com, and MansionCasino.com. According to reports from January 13, the operator handed over its licenses to the nation’s regulator.

Mansion Group, which has served in the region for close to 20 years, disclosed that this move will enable them to focus on their other online casino brands in places such as Spain, Ontario, and other authorized markets in which they operate.

The Chief Marketing Officer of Mansion Group, Neil Gallacher, said that the goal for Mansion in 2023 and thereafter is to keep investing in the most lucrative regions where we now conduct business while constantly looking to discover new markets. He added that their main market for a long time was the UK, and they are excited to continue spreading their excellent client service to other regions.

“Mansion’s focus in 2023 and beyond is to continue to double down on the most profitable markets where we currently operate while always seeking to explore emerging markets,” said Gallacher.

“The UK was for many years our core market, and we look forward to sharing 20 years of wonderful customer experiences with all our non-UK clients for many years to come.”

Gallacher continued by saying the growing regulatory constraints in the UK have produced considerably more bounded pathways to profit growth, hence their exit from the industry.

The group has since been making moves gradually to exit the UK market. In March of last year, it terminated its UK sports betting brand. The group said this was in order for them to focus more on their casino franchise. However, a few months down the road, Mansion Group is further closing its online casino businesses in the UK.

The Chief Executive Officer of Mansion Group, Christian Block, commented at the time of the online sportsbooks closure that they have made the decision to stop operating under the MansionBet name after thorough consideration. Although the commercial choice was challenging, it does give them the chance to concentrate on their casino businesses, where they have a successful record.

“After careful deliberation, we have decided to cease trading our MansionBet brand. The commercial decision was a difficult one, but it does provide an opportunity to focus on our casino brands, where we have a long history of excelling,” said Block.

“To minimise the impact on consumers, we have ensured our customers’ future winnings continue to be paid out and stakes will be returned regardless of the outcome.”

On January 12, 2013, the Mansion Group UK websites stopped accepting player deposits at 17:00 GMT, and ended gaming at 23:50 GMT that same day. According to the operator, participants who want to take their money out must do so by 23:59 on April 12, 2023.
