Dell Technologies Championship | August 30 – September 2 | TPC Boston – Norton, Massachusetts
BRYSON DeChambeau could be on his way to the Ryder Cup after shooting 18 under par at the Northern Trust to claim his second win of the season.
The quirky 24-year-old now sits atop the FedEx Cup rankings, yet it is the two players on his heels who are drawing the big money for this week’s Dell Technologies Championship.
Dustin Johnson had to settle for a share of 11th last weekend, but online bookmaker Bovada has installed the world number one as a +850 favourite at TPC Boston.
Justin Thomas won this event en route to the 2017 FedEx Cup crown, so it is no surprise to see him on the second line of betting at +1000.
Rory McIlroy skipped the Northern Trust, but he returns to the field as a +1600 chance to claim his third title in Norton, Massachusetts.
Brooks Koepka (+1200) followed his PGA Championship win with a top 10 at Ridgewood Country Club, while the rejuvenated Adam Scott (+2500) was in the top five again.
Jason Day (+1400), Jordan Spieth and Tiger Woods (both +2000) round out the top contenders.

Best bet: Justin Thomas
- +1000 to win at Bovada
- +750 for top American
JT’s form is hard to fault and he knows his way around TPC Boston. With Rickie Fowler out injured and Rory McIlroy just back from a spell, the reigning FedEx Cup champ looks the best bet among the likely contenders.
Hot streak: Adam Scott
- +240 for top 10 at Bovada
- +225 for top Australasian
Isn’t it great to see this bloke up and about again? Scott won the inaugural Deutsche Bank Championship back in 2003 and, with a pair of top fives under his belt, looks excellent value for another strong finish.
Top value: Billy Horschel
- +187 to finish top 20 at Bovada
- +5000 for first round leader
We singled out Horschel as one to watch at the Northern Trust, and he did not disappoint. The sweet-striking Floridian finished in a tie for third with Cameron Smith and is paying excellent odds to go deep again.
Lay of the week: Jordan Spieth
- +2000 to win at Bovada
- -125 to finish behind Brooks Koepka
With the Ryder Cup around the corner, this guy’s form is a bit of a worry. Spieth has finished inside the top 10 only once in 11 starts since the Masters, and there is no reason to expect an immediate shift in that trend.
