Kansas City Chiefs vs Cincinnati Bengals betting preview
For as good as the NFC Championship is expected to be, fans of the NFL have to be delighted with this year’s AFC Championship. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Cincinnati Bengals in a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game where the Bengals prevailed 27-24. That being said, a lot has changed over the past year, and this battle projects to be an awesome, offensive showcase. Two of the best quarterbacks in the world will square off and we have some picks for this contest.
Cincinnati Bengal Over 48 Points
The Chiefs are favored to win this game by 1.5 points but Patrick Mahomes’ ankle injury raises some questions. That being said, it’s still Mahomes and he is capable of doing anything. As a result, we are going to stay away from picking a side in this game and just take the over. While both of these teams possess mediocre defenses, each team is elite offensively and this projects to be a high-scoring affair. Even if Mahomes is limited by his ankle injury, he should still be able to sling the ball and score points. The Bengals’ defensive line isn’t good enough to completely take over this game and Mahomes will still have time to navigate through the pocket. The same can be said for the Bengals’ offense. The Chiefs will not be able to do enough to slow down Joe Burrow and his receivers. Because this is how we believe the game will play out, we are going to avoid picking a side and instead opt to pick an over in a game where each team could top 30 points with ease.
Cincinnati Bengals over 48 points
Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown Scorer
This line makes no sense. Travis Kelce is the best receiver on the best offense and in his last game, he had 14 catches and two touchdowns. These odds are a blessing and every time Kelce touches the field, he is a great bet to score. Kelce has 14 touchdowns this season and has 12 touchdowns in 15 career playoff games. In last year’s AFC Championship game against the Bengals, Kelce had 10 grabs and a touchdown. Simply put, this line is far too low and Kelce has a track record of scoring. Take Kelce to score at -105 and watch one of the best playmakers dominate as he has throughout his career.

Ja’Marr Chase Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Well, this may be another chalky prop pick but the value is too good to pass up. Ja’Marr Chase is Joe Burrow’s favorite target and he is a matchup problem every time he laces up. While the second-year receiver has a small sample size, he has historically destroyed the Chiefs and has four touchdowns in three games against them. The Chiefs, like many teams, do not have the talent to stop Chase and Burrow completely trusts him around the endzone. Chase has 11 touchdowns in 14 games this season and while he has battled injuries, he is still impossible to contain. This game should be no different. Take Chase to score another touchdown and continue his record-breaking start to his career.
Ja’Marr Chase Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Samaje Perin Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Samaje Perine is the backup running back for the Bengals but he is trusted in passing situations as their preferred back. And, in this game, there will be a lot of passing situations. Perine has six touchdowns on the season and while this is a longshot, it’s a good value bet considering his role. Perine should be on the field more than normal and he has established himself as a reliable receiver during his tenure in Cincinnati. At +480, Perine to score is a great bet whether he does it on the ground or through the air.
