BetMGM expands mobile sports betting to Puerto Rico

Leading sports betting and iGaming operator, BetMGM has expanded it’s presence in Puerto Rico by introducing online sports betting in collaboration with Casino del Mar at La Concha Resort. This strategic move complements the existing retail sportsbook at the facility and marks BetMGM’s second venture outside of the US mainland.

The strategic partnership with Casino del Mar at La Concha Resort will help BetMGM deliver a top-notch mobile sports betting experience to residents of Puerto Rico through the newly launched BetMGM app. The app provides users with a user-friendly interface and a wide array of betting options.

Users can customize their wagers, choosing from pre-game, live in-play, futures, and parlay bets, tailoring their betting experience to their preferences. Moreso, the offering is integrated with the MGM Rewards loyalty program, allowing players to redeem their gameplay rewards at renowned properties such as Bellagio, ARIA, MGM Grand, Beau Rivage, Borgata, and MGM Grand Detroit.

To access the online sportsbook, users are required to complete an in-person identification validation process at BetMGM’s retail venue during the mobile app registration. This ensures a secure and responsible betting experience.

BetMGM’s expansion into Puerto Rico builds upon its successful introduction of regulated retail sports betting in the region earlier in February 2022. The establishment recently opened a state-of-the-art $3.5 million sportsbook and lounge, equipped with 12 self-service kiosks and five betting windows, further enhancing the sports betting experience for enthusiasts.
