This year, the parity between the AFC and NFC in the NFL has never been larger and that has quite an effect on the Super Bowl futures odds. Here are our picks. All odds courtesy of Bovada.
Philadelphia Eagles to win Super Bowl
For our first pick, we are going to side with one of the favorites– the reigning Super Bowl runner-up Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles stormed to the championship last year with a 14-3 record and were one possession away from winning it all. This year, they will largely return that young core, and while they weren’t able to keep everyone, they had a great draft that should be full of rookies who can make an impact right away.
The best thing the Eagles have going for them is that they are in the NFC. The NFC, this year, pales in comparison to the AFC and Philadelphia should have an easy path to at least the NFC Championship game. We also think they will start the season strong so their odds will never get too much longer than this. Jalen Hurts and this offense will steamroll the competition and while their defense should be worse than last year, it is still one of the best units in the NFL. At +775, the Eagles are a great value pick to win the Super Bowl.

Baltimore Ravens to win Super Bowl
The Ravens’ path to the Super Bowl will not be easy. They play in the AFC, which is filled with talented teams and beyond that, they play in one of the toughest divisions. That all being said, +2000 is great value. With former MVP Lamar Jackson at the helm, the Ravens’ ceiling is as high as any team and while they are coming off of a tough 10-7 season, they had more injuries than any other team in NFL history last year.
As long as that doesn’t happen again, they will be better. And with a new crop of offensive weapons in town, this offense could be scary good. They had a top-10 defense last year and that shouldn’t be too different this coming season. At +2000, this is our favorite Super Bowl future and rooting for Lamar Jackson is about as fun as rooting for any player. Take the Ravens.

Los Angeles Chargers to win Super Bowl
The Chargers had a very similar season to the Ravens last year and they project to have a similar season this year as well. Like Baltimore, the Chargers play in the AFC and that gauntlet won’t be easy to get through. But if fourth-year quarterback Justin Herbert improves, the sky is the limit for this team. The key will be their defensive consistency but if that unit can improve, +3000 will be a steal.

New Orleans Saints to win Super Bowl
This is simply a value pick. The Saints are definitive long shots to win the Super Bowl but they have a new QB in Derek Carr and his consistency will be welcomed in New Orleans. While no one is confusing Carr for an elite quarterback, he has a great offense to work with. With the Saints’ top-five defense, Carr should lead this team into the playoffs.
Part of the reason this is good value is because they play in the NFC. The Saints play in the worst division and making the playoffs shouldn’t be too much of a struggle. If they have a favorable matchup in the playoffs and can get a win, then it’s time to hedge. At +4500 on offer with the top sportsbooks, this will be a good ticket to have moving forward and although they may not have a Super Bowl ceiling, no one should be surprised if they end up in the NFC Championship game.
