Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears betting trends & spread tips
Betting Line: Bears -6
Over/Under: 45 points at 888 Sportsbook
The Chicago Bears will seek to stamp their authority on the NFC North division when they take on a revitalised Green Bay team that still harbours dreams of an unlikely NFL playoff run.
The Packers snapped their three-game losing streak in their last game and they face a Bears team that was impressive in their last game holding the high-scoring L.A. Rams to only six points. On top of that, Green Bay is winless on the road this season (0-6) while the Bears are 6-1 at home.
Aaron Rodgers has been pretty good and has not had an interception in his last nine games, but he has not been lights out like we are used to seeing. Plus, he has not gotten much help from the run game. Add that up and you have a Packers’ team that needs to win their last three games, and maybe get help, to make the playoffs.
The Bears have won six of their last seven games and they can wrap up the NFC North title with a win. Their offense was not impressive in their last game, but their defense was holding the high-flying L.A. Rams in check. They have the defense and the run game and the playoffs are within reach if they can keep Rodgers down, which they have not been able to do in the last several seasons.
These teams met in the season opener in Green Bay where the Packers beat the Bears 24-23.
This season the Packers are 5-7-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 7-6 with the Steelers are at 9-4 ATS with an Over/Under record of 8-5.
The Packers have covered the spread in 12 of their last 16 games facing the Bears.
Rodgers had not been getting picked off lately, but he has also not been putting up big passing numbers. In his last game, he passed for 196 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in a 34-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He also rushed for 44 yards in the game and Aaron Jones led the Packers with 78 rushing yards and averaged a solid 4.8 yards per carry. Ones has been up and down in the last few weeks and only went for 36 yards in the game before the Falcons win.
Rodgers and company will be up against a Chicago defense that ranks 10th in the league against the pass and 2nd against the run.
In their last game, the Bears were at home and they were more than impressive, on the defensive side of the ball, in their 15-6 win over the L.A. Rams. They stuffed the run in the game and only gave up 214 total yards.
Mitchell Trubisky did not have a good return to the Chicago lineup after missing a couple of games with 110 passing yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. The Bears were legit in the run game in the win over the Rams, as Jordan Howard had 101 rushing yards and Tarik Cohen had 69 rushing yards. Howard may have another big game this Sunday, as the Green Bay defense only ranks 24th in the league against the run, but does rank a solid 8th in the league against the pass.

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears betting prediction
Most of the betting trends point to the Bears in this game, but I will buck those trends.
You cannot count out Aaron Rodgers and he will have a big game in this one, even facing a stout Chicago defense.
Green Bay will keep their slim playoff hopes alive in this game, which they will not only cover the spread, but get the win as well.
