The Gators outscored the Seminoles 28-7 in the 2nd half and they racked up 536 yards, including 282 rushing yards, while only giving up 293 yards and on top of that the forced three turnovers and did not commit any.

Felipe Franks passed for 256 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and he got a lot of help in the backfield with Lamical Perine and Jordan Scarlett combining for 217 rushing yards. Franks passed for three TD and no picks in his last two games and Perine and Scarlet combined to rush for 1,467 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Michigan hung their hat on their great defense this season and while they still ended the season with the top-ranked defense in the nation they were shredded in their last game. In their 62-39 loss to Ohio State in their last game they gave up 567 yards.

The Wolverines only lost two games of the season falling to Notre Dame, who are in the BCS playoffs, in their season opener and Ohio State in their last game.

Michigan gave up 24 points in their season opening loss to Notre Dame, which is the most they gave up all season until getting lit up for 62 points in their last game. Even in the bad loss to OSU they had 401 total yards and had balance with 240 passing yards and 161 rushing yards.

Shea Patterson passed for 187 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in the loss to Ohio State and he had a pretty solid season under center for the Wolverines. The team is led by the run game and senior running back Karan Higdon, who rushed for 72 yards in the loss to Ohio State and on the season had 1,178 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns. He had rushed for over 100 yards in seven straight games before failing to do so in two of his last three games.

Patterson and company will be facing a Florida defense that ranks 10th in the nation against the pass and 74th against the run. With the weakness of the Gators’ defense against the run look for Higdon to get a heavy workload in this game. Florida needs to bottle him up like they did last season even in the loss to Michigan where they held him to only 28 yards on seven carries.
