Premier League action will without question reach a crescendo this weekend, with highly delectable matches set to usher in the busy festive season that will see each team play three matches apiece in a span of a week.
The first feature game for EPL Match Week 18 will be a noon-time kickoff on Saturday between hosts Arsenal and relegation threatened Burnley. Chelsea will play host to Leicester City while champions Manchester City will welcome Crystal Palace to the Etihad: both matching kicking off at 3pm.
A Mourinho-less Manchester United will make the trip to Wales later in the day where there are penciled for a bout with Cardiff City, while Tottenham Hotspur will round off this weekend’s action with a trip to the blue side of Liverpool.
Premier League multi-bet for Match Week 18:
Arsenal to win – -384.62
Chelsea to win – -285.71
Man City to win – -714.29
Man United to win – -163.93
Spurs to win – +134

Parlay leg 1 – Arsenal vs. Burnley
Saturday, December 22 – 12:30p.m Local time – Emirates Stadium, London, United Kingdom
Arsenal will be hoping to put behind the embarrassment that was a 3-2 defeat to Southampton last weekend when they face Sean Dyche’s Burnley in Saturday’s early kickoff. The last seven days have been all but pleasant for the Gunners, as they not only saw their 22-match unbeaten run end against the Saints, but they also had to endure the misery of getting knocked out in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup by Spurs during a midweek encounter.
Unai Emery will nonetheless rally his charges ahead of Burnley’s visit, more so because the outcome of the match will set the tone heading into the crowded Christmas fixture. Burnley, who are third from bottom, look poised to drop points again against an Arsenal side determined to intensify their chase for a top four finish.
Prediction: Arsenal to win – -384.62 at Bovada
Parlay leg 2 – Chelsea vs. Leicester City
Saturday, December 22 – 3:00p.m Local time – Stamford Bridge, London, United Kingdom
Chelsea will be seeking to maintain their impressive run of form when they play host to Leicester City this weekend. The Blues have been on a purple patch as they ended Manchester City’s unbeaten run in the Premier League this season, and further made it into the last four of the EFL Cup following a marginal 1-0 win over Burnley this week.
Leicester on the other hand hasn’t won any of their last four matches in all competitions, with their last defeat in the league sustained at Selhurst Park last weekend.
Fourth placed Chelsea—who are just three points ahead of Arsenal in fifth—can only add credit to the Champions League hopes for next season by brushing aside teams like Leicester while they still can; given that they have no guarantees whatsoever of winning the Europa League.
Prediction: Chelsea to win – -285.71 at Bovada
Parlay leg 3 – Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace
Saturday, December 22- 3:00p.m Local time – Etihad Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom
Manchester City may have lost their place at the helm of the Premier League standings when they slipped against Chelsea a fortnight ago, but the Citizens haven’t wavered in their quest to defend the title.
Following the 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge, Pep Guardiola’s side managed to return back to winning ways with 2-1 triumph over Hoffenheim in the final group stage match of the Champions League, and a 3-1 win over Everton last weekend—not to mention belatedly making it to the semi-finals of the EFL Cup via post-match penalties against Leicester City on Tuesday night.
Seeing as Liverpool are only a paltry point ahead on the table, Manchester City can’t afford yet another slip up, especially against Crystal Palace.
Prediction: Chelsea to win – -714.29 at Bovada
Parlay leg 4 – Cardiff City vs. Manchester United
Saturday, December 22 – 5:30p.m Local time – Cardiff City Stadium, Wales, United Kingdom
Manchester United will be desperately seeking to return back to winning ways on their trip to Wales this weekend. The Red devils opted to part ways with Jose Mourinho after a disastrous 3-1 defeat at Anfield last Sunday.
It’s not so much that Jose was fired because of the defeat to Liverpool, but rather the significance that the match itself bore. The former Real Madrid and Chelsea gaffer had simply lost majority of the dressing room to the point that the relationship was simply beyond repair.
Nonetheless, the players will certainly give their all for care-taker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær; a man whose style and personal panache is deeply etched in the very history of the club.
An interim managerial change at the club already feels like a new world class signing, which is why you would expect Manchester United to sweep aside Cardiff.
Prediction: Man United to win – -163.93 at Bovada
Parlay leg 5 – Everton vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday, December 23 – 4:00p.m Local time – Goodison Park, Liverpool, United Kingdom
The most high profile match of the weekend will see Everton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Goodison Park. Spurs fans have had an anxious week, with rumors of Mauricio Pochettino’s alleged move to Old Trafford at the end of the season running rife.
A trip to any part of Liverpool is never easy but Pochettino has just enough in his ranks to reap all three points on Sunday.
Prediction: Spurs to win 2.5 – +134 at Bovada
