NFL Divisional Round 2025: betting picks for Sunday, January 19

NFL Divisional preview

The NFL Divisional Round continues this Sunday (EDT) with two high-stakes matchups across the conferences.

Below are our NFL betting tips and previews for both the LA Rams vs Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens vs Buffalo Bills.

Los Angeles Rams vs Philadelphia Eagles

Sunday, January 19 – 3:00pm EST – Lincoln Financial Field

The Los Angeles Rams head to Philadelphia in the first match of the day, where the Eagles enter as strong favorites with top NFL sportsbook.

Despite having to host their playoff game in Arizona last weekend, the Rams put together a statement performance to beat the Minnesota Vikings 27-9. In an excellent defensive performance, LA had nine sacks and forced two turnovers, leaving the Vikings scrambling throughout the game.

Defense has been a staple of the Rams’ form in recent weeks, where they have kept their opposition to a single-digit score in each of their past four full-strength games.

On offense, veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford has been in strong form recently, combining with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. However, with snow forecast, expect running back Kyren Williams to be the main threat for the Rams.

The Eagles were also comfortable winners last Sunday, as they beat the Green Bay Packers 22-10. Philadelphia are one of the NFL’s top takeaway defenses and that continued as they forced four turnovers in the win.

Throughout the season, the Eagles have allowed the least number of yards and points per game, while they are incredibly strong against the pass.

The snowy conditions should favor the Eagles, who will be strong on the ground with duo of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Last time these teams met, Barkley set the franchise record with 255 rushing yards.

If the Rams are any chance of winning this game, they will have to stop the run, something which has rarely occurred this season. The Eagles have the home ground advantage, favorable conditions and arguably the best defense in the NFL. Despite the line being set at -6, Philadelphia should still be too good on both sides of the ball, so back them to cover at $1.90 with Bovada.

Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills

Sunday, January 19 – 6:30pm EST – Highmark Stadium

In the most anticipated game of the season, the two MVP favorites face off as the Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens got through Wildcard Weekend barely out of first gear as they beat the Steelers 28-14. Running back Derrick Henry continued his stellar form with 186 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while the defense kept the Steelers scoreless in the first half.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson is having a stellar season, with two touchdowns, 175 passing yards and 81 rushing yards against the Steelers, continuing his run of mistake-free football. He leads the NFL in passer rating and yards per attempt, while also being the top rushing quarterback.

On the other side of the ball, the Ravens have the top run defense in the NFL, which will help in the cold forecast conditions. However, note that they also have the second-worst pass defense, which the Bills will be hoping to take advantage of.

Last time these sides met, it was a dominant display from the Ravens, who were led by 209 yards and two touchdowns from Derrick Henry to a 35-10 win. While it isn’t expected to happen again, it is a preview of the gameplan that Baltimore will use this week.

The Bills also secured an easy win last weekend, beating the Broncos 31-7. After conceding the first touchdown of the game, Buffalo scored 31 unanswered points to seal the win. Quarterback Josh Allen threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns, while running back James Cook had 120 rushing yards and a score as well.

The Bills finished the season as the second-highest scoring team in the NFL, thanks largely to the duo of Allen and Cook, who combined for 31 touchdowns on the ground, while Allen added 28 more through the air.

There are concerns around the Bills’ defense, which doesn’t rank inside the top 10 for either yards or points against. But they do have the best turnover differential in the NFL, which gives them greater opportunities on the offensive side.

The most impressive statistic is that the Bills have beaten both #1 seeds this season, while they also have a perfect record of 9-0 at home.

This game could be played over and over again with a different result every time, such is the quality in both these teams. However, as we have seen all season long, the Bills and Josh Allen continue to find a way to win. Week 4 was a long time ago and Buffalo have become a much better team since, so back them to keep their perfect home record alive as underdogs at -105.26 with the top online casinos.
