F1-Miami-2025-BP

Formula 1 heads back to the United States this week for the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, marking the second sprint weekend of the season.

Held at the Miami International Autodrome around Hard Rock Stadium, this high-speed street circuit offers long straights, tricky braking zones, and unpredictable weather, making it one of the most entertaining stops on the calendar.

Free Practice 1 begins at 12:30pm ET on Saturday, May 3, followed by Sprint Qualifying at 4:30pm ET. The Sprint Race and Grand Prix Qualifying are slated for Sunday, with lights out for the Miami Grand Prix at 4pm ET on Monday, May 5.

McLaren remain the team to beat this season, with Oscar Piastri already collecting three race wins and Lando Norris returning to the site of his maiden Grand Prix victory in 2024. Both drivers are confident heading to a circuit that suits McLaren’s current package — low drag, high agility, and raw top-end speed.

Mercedes continue to show one-lap speed, with George Russell leading the charge and rookie Kimi Antonelli proving steady under pressure. Over at Ferrari, Charles Leclerc remains the more consistent performer, while Lewis Hamilton is still adjusting to the red garage and chasing form.

Red Bull remain a wildcard. Max Verstappen is always dangerous, but the RB21 has struggled with setup variability, and the team needs a bounce-back weekend to stay in the championship fight.

Miami GP 2025 betting predictions

With strong momentum and race-winning pedigree at this track, Norris has everything in his corner — especially if he nails qualifying. If he starts in the top four, expect the McLaren to lead from the front.

Russell’s qualifying form continues to exceed expectations, and his race pace has been good enough to hold off stronger cars. At +140, he’s a value bet to lock in another top-three finish.

Williams have shown flashes of top-tier speed, and Alex Albon has consistently delivered when the car is dialed in. If he qualifies well and avoids early traffic, +400 for a top-six finish is excellent value.
