In the first round of the Big 10 conference tournament 7th seed Oklahoma meets the 10th West Virginia in an important match up for both teams.

The Sooners need a win since they are right on the bubble and meet a Mountaineers outfit that finished with a record below .500.

The winner of this game will face second seeded Texas Tech in the next round of the tournament.

They lost two of their last three games with the first loss a 12-point road loss to Oklahoma. WQVU beat OU at home earlier in the season, but lost to them late where they only shot 41.9% from the floor and allowed the Sooners to shoot a scorching 59.2%.

Oklahoma was on the road in their last game losing to 18th ranked Kansas State 68-53 where they were outscored by 10 points in the first half and only shot 41.5% from the field. Kristian Doolittle and Jamal Bieniemy were the only two players to score in double figures combining for 26 points.

Christian James leads the Sooners averaging 14.5 ppg, but he has failed to score over eight points in his last three games. Brady Manek ranks 2nd on the squad averaging 11.7 ppg and after totaling 35 points in two games he only went for four points in the loss to Kansas State.
