F1-Netherlands-2025

Formula 1 returns from the summer break this week as the grid heads to the Netherlands for the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort.

This fan-favorite event takes place from August 29–31, with practice beginning on Friday and the main race set for 3pm CEST on Sunday, August 31.

Set along the North Sea coast, Zandvoort is one of the most technical circuits on the calendar, featuring tight banking, sweeping corners, and limited overtaking zones, making qualifying and strategy absolutely critical.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris lead the way in the drivers’ championship and the betting markets with leading sportsbooks, while local hero Max Verstappen will look to reignite his season in front of the Orange Army.

Ferrari and Mercedes will be looking to hit the ground running after spending the past month reconfiguring each car’s weight and balance for the backend of the season, with Charles Leclerc and George Russell both chasing third place in the drivers’ standing.

Further afield, Aston Martin duo Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll have their sights on a spot in the top 10, while the likes of Isack Hadjar and Pierre Gasly will be looking to get back in the points after missing out in Hungary.

Dutch GP 2025 betting predictions

Oscar Piastri to win

After leading the drivers’ championship into the summer break, Piastri knows he needs a strong result at Zandvoort to maintain his edge in the title fight. The Aussie was electric in the first half of the season, and with McLaren’s package ideally suited to high-downforce circuits like this, he is well placed to pick up where he left off. If he nails qualifying, expect Piastri to control the race from the front.

Charles Leclerc podium finish

Leclerc was building strong momentum before the summer break, with several impressive qualifying performances and solid race pace to match. Zandvoort’s technical layout should suit the Ferrari, and if Leclerc picks up where he left off, a podium finish is well within reach.

Isack Hadjar points finish

Hadjar continues to impress in his rookie campaign and could be one to watch at Zandvoort. With chaos often striking in the midfield and limited overtaking spots rewarding track position, the young Frenchman has a real shot at cracking the top 10.
