Tuesday, September 23 – 7pm CEST – Estadio de San Mamés
San Mamés has not been a happy stomping ground for Athletic Club in recent times, but they get their chance to turn it around here. Girona arrive at the bottom of the table with one point from five games and just two league goals. Even with Nico Williams sidelined, Aymeric Laporte’s return stabilizes the back line, and the hosts should control territory against a side in a scoring funk.
Tuesday, September 23 – 7pm CEST – RCDE Stadium
Espanyol and Valencia have played in five straight draws against one another, and the trend looks set to continue. Espanyol have played in three games decided by a goal already this season, all of those coming at RCDE Stadium. Valencia on the road typically try and keep things tight, and if that be the case, a mind-boggling sixth consecutive draw beckons.
Tuesday, September 23 – 9:30pm CEST – Estadi Ciutat de València
Vinícius Junior is among Real Madrid’s most productive attackers this season, even with rotation. Los Blancos are perfect in La Liga, and the Brazilian ranks highly for end product per minute. Levante’s defense is leaking early, conceding nine times in five games, and with two goals and two assists to his name already, Vini will prove to be a potent threat all night.
Tuesday, September 23 – 9:30pm CEST – Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán
Early-season form has Villarreal as one of the best defensive sides, conceding four times in five games, while they have also found the back of the net 10 times. They come up against a Sevilla side who have won two of their last three but have only kept a clean sheet once in their last five games. In what shapes as a tight encounter, Villarreal hold a slight edge.
Wednesday, September 24 – 7pm CEST – Coliseum Stadium
Getafe’s defensive baseline is solid, and their only home game finished with just two total goals. Alaves are just as compact on the road, with both of their away games finishing 1-0 to start the season. Neither of these teams have superstars in attack, and that should show on the scoreboard.
Wednesday, September 24 – 9:30pm CEST – Cívitas Metropolitano
There should be goals in this one. Rayo Vallecano’s early results include a 3–1 win at Girona and a 1–1 draw against Barcelona — evidence they’ll trade chances rather than park the bus. Atlético Madrid bring superior finishers and typically create a steady stream of set-piece looks, which Rayo will struggle to defend.
Wednesday, September 24 – 9:30pm CEST – Reale Arena
Mallorca games are typically full of chances, especially considering they have conceded 10 times in five matches. Real Sociedad have had three or more goals scored in both home games to start the season and come to this fixture on the back of a 3–1 loss at Real Betis. With Mallorca’s leaky defense, this shapes up as another Sociedad home game with at least three goals.
Thursday, September 25 – 7:30pm CEST – Estadio El Sadar
Estadio El Sadar is a tough trip, and Osasuna bring useful home form into this one, fresh off a controlled 2–0 win over Rayo Vallecano on September 14. The quick turnaround back to Pamplona should suit their high-energy press and set-piece threat against an Elche side who got the better of Real Oviedo 1–0 on the weekend. With Osasuna’s territorial edge at home, they should justify favoritism with top sports betting sites.
Thursday, September 25 – 9:30pm CEST – Estadio Carlos Tartiere
Ferran Torres scored twice in Barcelona’s 3–0 win over Getafe on Sunday and leads Barça’s league scoring with four goals in five games. Up against the newly promoted Real Oviedo, the visitors should dominate possession and give their star-studded attack plenty of opportunities in front of goal. At better than even money, Torres looks great value to find the back of the net.
