The most absorbing close to an English Premier League campaign in recent memory is upon us with a number of mouth-watering fixtures lined up for Match Week 36.
With no run away title contender and three top teams still chasing for a fourth place finish, Premier League action will undoubtedly hit a crescendo this weekend.
Our first highlight match will see Liverpool on the road against already relegated Huddersfield Town on Friday night, while Tottenham Hotspur will welcome West Ham United to their new stadium in Saturday’s noontime kick off.
Arsenal will sojourn to the king Power Stadium for an acid test against Leicester City in Sunday’s first piece of action, while champions Manchester City will be away to Burnley later in the day.
By far the biggest match of the weekend will see a distraught and whimpered Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford.
Premier League multi-bet for Match Week 36:
Liverpool to win both halves – -166.67
Spurs to win – -222.22
Both Arsenal and Leicester to score – -208.33
Man City to win both halves – +102
Chelsea to win – +168
EPL Accumulator Odds – +1720 at Bovada
Parlay leg 1 – Liverpool vs. Huddersfield Town
Friday, April 26 – 8:00p.m Local time – Anfield, Liverpool, United Kingdom
Having lost just a single match in the Premier League all season long and playing some of the most brilliant attacking bit of football on the continent, Liverpool have all the ingredients needed to be crowned the Kings of English football.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges are impressively chasing for the European and domestic double of the Champions League and Premier League; an accomplishment in itself that vividly depicts just how far the German tactician has rebuilt the club.
Given how much Liverpool will be looking forward to Wednesday’s trip to Barcelona in the Champions League, the Reds shouldn’t have any qualms breezing past an already relegated Huddersfield side with nothing to play for.
Prediction: Liverpool to win both halves – -166.67 at Bovada
Parlay leg 2 – Tottenham Hotspur vs. West Ham United
Saturday, April 27 – 12:30p.m Local time – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, United Kingdom
Despite spending close to nothing in signings during the last English summer, Mauricio Pochettino’s charges have exceeded and excelled in expectation this campaign.
Into the Champions League semifinals and looking increasingly assured of yet again finishing in the top four, red-hot Tottenham Hotspur will play host to West Ham United in what should be a fiery London derby.
Spurs, who impressively eliminated Pep Guardiola’s petrodollar backed Manchester City in the last eight of the Champions League, were given a dose of their own medicine when they lost by a solitary goal to the Citizens in the league last weekend.
Returning to winning ways during their midweek EPL encounter against Brighton and Hove Albion should however place them in a strong position to do just enough to beat the Hammers who haven’t won any of their last four matches.
Prediction: Spurs to win – -222.22 at Bovada
Parlay leg 3 – Leicester City vs. Arsenal
Sunday, April 28 – 12:00 noon Local time – The King Power Stadium, Leicester, United Kingdom
Arsenal’s unrelenting chase for a place in the top four once again comes to question this weekend when they face Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners have continued to waver in their quest to return back to Europe’s top tier cup competition, with back-to-back defeats against Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers seriously jeopardizing their chances.
Focusing on the Europa league as a direct qualification to the Champions League may pose as a distraction in their race for top four, which is why you would expect Leicester City to give the Gunners a hard time this weekend—much like they have over the years.
Prediction: Both teams to score – -208.33 at Bovada
Parlay leg 4 – Burnley vs. Manchester City
Sunday, April 28 – 2:05p.m Local time – Turf Moor, Burnley, United Kingdom
Manchester City are only three matches away from successfully defending the Premier League crown for the first time in their history.
Befitting contenders for the quadruple a little more than a week ago, the opportunity to achieve something that has never been done in English football before went begging after the Citizens were unceremoniously knocked out of the Champions League by Tottenham.
Be that as it may, the ravenous Pep Guardiola—who still has the FA Cup and Premier League title to contend for—will unequivocally do everything to make a clean sweep of the silverwares still up for grabs.
What better way to strengthen their grip on the title than by cruising past a Burnley side that has flirted with relegation this season.
Prediction: Man City to win both halves – +102 at Bovada
Parlay leg 5 – Manchester United vs. Chelsea
Sunday, April 28 – 4:30p.m Local time – Old Trafford, Manchester, United Kingdom
Manchester United will face Chelsea in what is perhaps the most relevant and decisive match in the race for top four; more so because United, Chelsea and Arsenal all still have a good chance of finishing fourth.
Despite shockingly faltering in seven of their last nine games in all competitions, with four of their defeats coming in the Premier League, Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s charges still keep getting chance after chance to finish in the top four due to equally inept performances by Chelsea and Arsenal.
Although United have the home advantage, on top of some shred of amnesty to better their chances of securing a Champions League place, it’s unlikely that the Red devils will grab the chance by the scuff of the neck.
Prediction: Chelsea to win – +168 at Bovada
