Auburn beat a ranked Oregon team in their first game of the 2019 NCAA Football season and will look to knock off another when they take on Texas A&M this weekend.

The Aggies are the four-point favourites in the NCAAF betting lines even though they have already suffered a loss, albeit to Clemson.

The Tigers have rolled over their last two opponents after a close game with Oregon in their opener.

This game is the first of the SEC schedule for both sides. While Auburn and Texas A&M are each in the top 25, both have killer fixtures that include clashes with top-10 teams Alabama, Georgia, and LSU.

Auburn crushed Kent State 55-16 in their last game where they racked up a whopping 633 yards and rushed for 467 yards. The Tigers are led by freshman QB Bo Nix, who passed for 161 yards with a TD and no INT. He has a good WR corps, but the run game will be key for Auburn in this SEC matchup.

In the win over Kent State the Tigers had three players rush for over 100 yards in JaTarvious Whitlow, Joey Gatewood, and Shaun Shivers. Whitlow is the featured back and has rushed for at least 96 yards in all three games this season. He will be facing an A&M defense that was not great in their last game but previously held Clemson and Heisman candidate RB Travis Etienne to 121 rushing yards on a 3.7-per carry average.

Nix has not put up big numbers so far on the season, but he has not been picked off in the last two games. If the Tigers can run the ball they will be in good shape, but if they cannot we shall see what the freshman QB can do.

Texas A&M are coming off a 62-3 throttling of Lamar in their last game where they had 633 total yards of offense. The one concern is that after playing a good run D against Clemson, A&M gave up 122 rushing yards against Lamar.

Kellen Mond passed for 317 yards against Lamar with a TD and a pick despite not playing the whole game and four Aggies had at least 60 receiving yards, led by Jhamon Ausbon with 109 of them and a TD. Isaiah Spiller had 116 rushing yards after only having 24 in seven carries in the loss to Clemson.

The run game is the key for both teams, but especially Auburn, as the Aggies will be in trouble if they cannot stop the run.
