EPL accumulator odds – +2855 at Bovada

Leg 1 – Liverpool vs Leicester City

Saturday, October 5 – 3pm BST – Anfield, Liverpool

Brendan Rodgers will return to Anfield this Saturday for the very first time since parting ways with the Reds in 2015. Now in Leicester colours, the Northern Irishman has done well since setting up camp at the King Power, with the Foxes now challenging for a UEFA Champions League place having collected 14 of the possible 21 points.

Liverpool have been imperious to say the least, as the European champions lead the EPL standings with 21 points from their first seven games — the only team with a perfect winning record.

Fresh off an end-to-end midweek Champions League encounter in which they beat Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg 4-3, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to maintain their rich vein of form this weekend.
With Leicester looking poised to offer stern resistance, this fixture should make for an enthralling encounter.

Prediction: Both teams to score/Liverpool or Leicester to win – +137 at Bovada

Leg 2 – Arsenal vs Bournemouth

Sunday, October 6 – 2pm BST – Emirates Stadium, London

Arsenal will be hoping to build on their Thursday night Europa League outing in which they decimated Belgian side Standard Liege 4-0 at the Emirates.

Although the Gunners haven’t particularly impressed this season, the North Londoners have managed to squeeze into the top four with 12 points in seven outings.

Bournemouth are not too far behind, as the Cherries are eighth on the table on 11 points. Given how the two teams nearly match in strength, look for both sides to produce the goals in this explosive Super Sunday encounter.

Prediction: Both teams to score – -200 at Bovada

Leg 3 – Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sunday, October 6 – 2pm BST – Etihad Stadium, Manchester

Manchester City boast the most talented and expensive squad in the land. Their champagne football has been exhibited over the course of the season, none more so than a fortnight ago when they annihilated Watford 8-0 in a Premier League encounter.

Having brushed aside Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 on Tuesday night in the Champions League, second-placed City will be confident of collecting another league win, hoping that a Liverpool stutter could help them trim the five-point gap.

Wolves may have similarly won their midweek European encounter, but their Europa League commitment has come at a price this season and could cost them even more against the champions.

Prediction: Total goal over 2.5 – -277.78 at Bovada

Leg 4 – Southampton vs Chelsea

Sunday, October 6 – 2pm BST – St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton

Since sustaining successive defeats against Valencia and Liverpool in the Champions League and Premier League respectively, Chelsea have been on a decent winning run with convincing results against Grimsby Town, Brighton and Lille.

While the Blues sit seventh on the tables after amassing three wins from their last five league games, the Saints have lost four of their last five Premier League matches.

Frank Lampard looks to have discovered a working formula for his Stamford Bridge fledglings, who should get the points on the south coast.

Prediction: Chelsea to win – -117.65 at Bovada

Leg 5 – Newcastle United vs Manchester United

Sunday, October 6 – 4:30pm BST – St James’ Park Stadium, Newcastle

Newcastle United may be a place above the foot of the table, but that still won’t stop the Magpies from troubling Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s Manchester United.

Seemingly lost and out of sorts, the Red Devils have been struggling this season, so much so that any team going up against them thoroughly fancies their chances.

With a defeat and three successive draws across three competitions, 10th-placed United could toil for a result at St James’ Park.

Prediction: Match drawn – +240 at Bovada
