Parlay selections and free picks for MLB Saturday

MLB

MLBCAN you believe the MLB All-Star break is just around the corner?

We’re basically two weeks from the ASG now and the regular season is starting to heat up. The St. Louis Cardinals (48-24) are the best team in baseball, but seven other teams have 40+ wins already as well.

I’m going to share my best bets for an MLB parlay this Saturday (June 27th 2015).

Unfortunately, the odds aren’t in yet for the games, but we don’t need them to find winners. Keep an eye on the odds as they drop at Bovada.lv and build your parlay to perfection!

Rangers vs. Blue Jays betting preview

When: Saturday, June 28th 2015 at 1:07pm ET

Where: Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada

The Texas Rangers (37-36) and Toronto Blue Jays (39-35) open up a tree-game series tonight, but this preview is for Saturday’s afternoon game at the Rogers Centre, which is scheduled for 1:07pm ET.

Toronto were on an incredible run, but they’ve since cooled down. The Blue Jays won last time out against the Rays (1-0) in extra innings on Wednesday, although the Jays are just 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Texas have been even worse, though, as the Rangers have lost five games in a row.

Yovani Gallardo (6-6) is on the mound for Texas. Gallardo has a 2.98 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 87.2 IP’s this season, plus he has had some success at shutting down most Blue Jays batters other than Edwin Encarnacion.

The Blue Jays haven’t confirmed a starter yet, but it’s expected that Felix Doubront will start.

Doubront isn’t a pitcher you can often trust, but this is a shot for him to prove himself in the majors again, after spending time at AAA. Texas have also struggled brutally on offense in the last several weeks.

Texas rank 10th in runs scored (4.38 RPG), but they’ve scored four or less runs in 16 of 20 games. That’s not going to get it done. Toronto are tops in the majors with an average of 5.47 RPG scored offensively.

Toronto are also 23-14 at the Rogers Centre in 2015 and they’ve gone 14-12 in day games. Texas are 9-13 in day games. They’re actually a very respectable 22-17 on the road, but they’re 3-6 in their last 9 road games.

Best Bet: Toronto Blue Jays ML at Bovada.lv

Braves vs. Pirates betting preview

When: Saturday, June 28th 2015 at 4:05pm ET

Where: PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Two struggling NL rivals face each other this weekend, as the Pittsburgh Pirates (40-32) host the Atlanta Braves (35-38) in a series starting tonight. I actually like Atlanta tonight with Perez on the mound.

However, I like the Pirates to win on Saturday and I believe we’re going to get good value on the line, especially if the Braves win tonight. Charlie Morton (5-1) will be starting for the Pirates after having his worst game ever.

Morton gave up 8 hits and 9 earned runs in 0.2 innings last time out against the Nats.

Prior to that he had a perfect record, while posting a 3.97 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. Julio Tehran (5-3) is starting for the Braves. He has a 4.67 ERA and 1.39 WHIP, plus he has been even worse when on the road.

Tehran is 1-3 on the road with 4 no decisions and he has given up 5+ ER’s in five of those road starts.

Pittsburgh have lost two in a row, but they’re a solid 22-13 at PNC Park. Atlanta is 16-23 on the road, have lost three games in a row and are coming off a brutal 7-0 shellacking against the Nationals.

The Braves rank 15th in runs scored (4.11 RPG) and 19th in runs allowed (4.33 RPG), while Pittsburgh ranks 22nd in runs scored (3.97 RPG) and 2nd in runs allowed (3.37 RPG).

The Pirates are 2-1 against Atlanta this year and Morton already has a won earlier this month against them.

Best Bet: Pittsburgh Pirates ML at 5Dimes.eu

Royals vs. Athletics betting preview

When: Saturday, June 27th 2015 at 4:05pm ET

Where: O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California

The Oakland Athletics (34-41) just beat Texas (6-3) on Thursday night and they’ll kick-off a series against the Kansas City Royals (41-28) tonight. The Saturday match-up is in the early evening at 4:05pm ET.

Chris Young (6-3) is on the mound for KC, while Scott Kazmir (4-4) gets the start for Oakland.

Kazmir is having a good season so far – he has a 2.70 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. In his last three starts he has given up just 3 ER’s and 12 hits. Young has posted a 2.83 ERA and 1.01 WHIP, but his last start was lacklustre.

Young gave up 7 ER’s – the most he has allowed this season — against the Royals this past Sunday. However, he has been great on the road. He’s 2-0 in his last two road games and he hasn’t allowed a run in 13.1 innings.

Oakland’s hot, as they start the series tonight on a 5-game winning streak. However, the A’s are just 14-20 at home and 1-2 against the Royals this year. Both teams rank in the top ten in runs scored and runs allowed, but the Royals are winning games, whereas the Athletics aren’t.

Kansas City are 7-3 in their last 10 games and are a great road team to target on Saturday’s slate, especially if we get a favorable line. If the A’s win tonight – the Royals may open up as small underdogs for tomorrow’s game.

Best Bet: Kansas City Royals ML at Bovada.lv

I’ll be betting my three best bets for Saturday straight-up as well as on a parlay. Head over to Bovada.lv to bet on MLB parlays all season long. None of these teams should be big favorites and I even think we could get a plus money line on the Royals, which would make the parlay payout nicely.
