Juventus hosts AC Milan this Sunday in one of the most interesting matches on the Serie A Matchweek 4 betting card. We’ve got a pick in that game as well as a play in both the Inter Milan vs Bologna and the Empoli vs Sampdoria matches in this weekend’s Serie A soccer betting tips.

Inter Milan vs Bologna

Inter Milan (2-1-0) settled for a disappointing 2-2 draw on the road against Sampdoria last Sunday. Prior to that, Inter had coasted to a 4-0 home win over Genoa and a 3-1 road win over Verona. Inter is a massive favorite over Bologna (2-1-0) this Saturday, but should they be?

Bologna’s defense has earned back-to-back clean sheets in a 0-0 draw on the road against Atalanta and a 1-0 win at home over Verona. Inter is obviously the better team with the clearly superior offense; however, the club will also be coming off of a UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday against Real Madrid, while Bologna will be able to focus entirely on preparing for Inter. We aren’t expecting an outright upset for Bologna, but a draw or one-goal loss seems well within reason and the price is right.

Empoli vs Sampdoria

Empoli (1-0-2) has scored three goals this season and surrendered two. Sampdoria (0-2-1) has scored two goals this season and surrendered three. These two clubs are separated by only one point on the Serie A table and by a goal differential of just one goal through the first three matchweeks of the season.

You won’t find much more even sports betting odds on a match than you will on this one. The spread is a pick’em with both sides going off at -110. The three-way line makes Empoli the slightest of favorites at +160 over Sampdoria at +165. But the real value is on the draw at +265. These two clubs have played to a draw in four of their last seven meetings and are clearly evenly matched in this one. Look for a 1-1 draw in this Sunday matchup.

Juventus vs AC Milan

Juventus (0-1-2) has earned only one point in Serie A play this season, coming in the 2-2 draw it had against Udinese in Matchweek 1. Since then, Juve has lost 1-0 at home to Empoli and 2-1 on the road to Napoli. On the bright side, Juventus did win its first game of the UEFA Champions League group stage with a 3-0 victory over Malmo.

AC Milan (3-0-0) is a perfect 3-0 thus far in league action with wins over Sampdoria, Cagliari, and Lazio. Milan has the best goals-against average in the league and is tied with Inter Milan for the second-best goal differential on the season at +6. Another strong performance from AC Milan to earn a point or even three this weekend wouldn’t surprise anyone given Juventus’s poor form of late, but we like the home club to rise to the challenge and earn its first league win of the season this Sunday.
