Even against high-powered Bayern Leverkusen, the final score was only 1-0 Leverkusen. Dortmund’s offense likely finds a goal or two at home, but we see Mainz keeping this one on the low-scoring side.

Greuther Furth vs VfL Bochum

Greuther Furth (0-1-6) is well on its way to relegation with only one point through its first seven games. Furth and Arminia are the only two teams left in the Bundesliga without a win, but Arminia has shown a lot more life with four draws and only a -7 goal differential on the season. Last-place Furth meanwhile has the worst goal differential in Bundesliga with a -14.

VfL Bochum (1-1-5) sits right between Arminia and Furth on the Bundesliga table in 17th place. The club’s goal differential is tied for second worst at -12. Quite frankly, this is the best chance Greuther Furth will have at a win all season, getting the second-worst team in the league at home. The players must know it. The fans must know it. If we don’t see Furth’s best effort in this match, we never will.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich (5-1-1) suffered a stunning 2-1 loss at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. It was Bayern’s first loss and Frankfurt’s first win in 2021-22, and it served as a reminder that even the most obvious matchups can sometimes go the other way. Bayern has had an extra week off to think about this humiliating loss.

That could be a very bad think for Bayer Leverkusen (5-1-1). Bayern Munich is a tough enough opponent when they aren’t extremely focused and motivated. Leverkusen is having an outstanding season and is perhaps worth consideration at these betting odds, but this feels like a match Bayern is not going to settle for a loss in. Look for Bayern to earn its fifth straight win over Leverkusen with a road win this Sunday.
