Borussia Dortmund vs. SC Freiburg

With Bayern Munich’s loss and Borussia Dortmund’s 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, Dortmund (12-1-5) has pulled to within six points of Bayern atop the Bundesliga table. Now Borussia Dortmund returns home after two straight road matches to take on SC Freiburg. Dortmund is 8-0-1 at Westfalenstadion this season with a +14 goal differential against its opponents.

SC Freiburg (8-6-4) settled for an underwhelming 2-2 draw at home against lowly Arminia Bielefeld last Saturday. The club has just two wins over its last eight matches with a 2-2-4 record since going 6-4-0 to kick off the 2021-22 season. Freiburg came out on top in a 2-1 win over Dortmund back in August, but the change in venue and the difference in current form should flip the result this Friday.

FC Koln vs. Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich (14-1-3) had a five-match win streak snapped in last Friday’s stunning 2-1 loss to Monchengladbach. Monchengladbach also played Bayern to a draw in August; Bayern is now 0-1-1 in its two league games against Monchengladbach and 14-0-2 against the rest of the Bundesliga. Bayern enters this Saturday’s road matchup against FC Koln with a 6-1-1 record away from home this season and a +17 goal differential in those eight games.

FC Koln (7-7-4) opened its season with a solid 3-3-1 record through its first seven matches before going just 1-4-3 over its next eight. Koln has heated up again in recent weeks howevr with a perfect 3-0-0 record over its last three matches that includes two road wins over Hertha BSC and VfL Wolfsburg. We like the OVER with the online betting sites in this matchup; Bayern Munich should be fired up to bounce back from its loss with a big performace, but Koln has been playing well and won’t necessarily just roll over and die here at home. The last match between these two teams was a 3-2 Bayern win, and another score like that one wouldn’t be too surprising here.

Union Berlin vs. Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim (9-4-5) has continued its impressive climb up the Bundesliga table all the way to third place heading into Matchweek 19. The club was hovering around the middle of the talble with a 4-2-5 record back in early November, but since its last loss on November 6, Hoffenheim is 5-2-0 over its last seven matches in a stretch that includes wins over SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig. Hoffenheim defeated FC Augsburg 3-1 at home last Saturday.

Union Berlin (7-7-4) picked up a hard-earned point in its 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend and is 1-2-0 since its last loss against Greuther Furth in December. Berlin has been a strong home team this season with a 5-3-1 record and its only loss at home coming against Bayern Munich. Considering how well Berlin plays at home and how well Hoffenheim has been playing overall, this looks like a good spot to take a shot on a draw wager in as this should be a very competitive match.
