Brazil winning margin betting vs. Switzerland – 2018 World Cup tips
The mighty Brazil will begin its campaign to add another FIFA World Cup trophy to its fabled football history when it takes on Switzerland on Sunday night at Rostov Arena.
Bovada has Brazil as the pretty big betting favorite in this opening Group E match posted at -245 with Switzerland at +750 and a draw at +370.
Brazil is not only the big favorite in this match, but they also have the best betting odds at Bovada to win the World Cup.
In the three all-time meetings between these teams each team has a win and there has been one draw. The draw came in the 1950 World Cup while the last two matches have been friendlies with the Swiss winning the last matchup 1-0 in 2013.
Brazil has a great attack led by star striker Neymar from PSG, but the squad’s defense has been stellar. They have a clean sheet in five straight matches, all friendlies, facing some solid teams in Germany, Croatia, England, and Russia, who are all in this World Cup main draw.

Brazil is stacked all around the4 pitch, but they have one concern as veteran Dani Alves is likely out with an injury. However, Manchester’s City’s Danilo is still on the back line and the Brazilians will be tough to score on. This is especially the case since Switzerland is led by their defense and midfield while the attack is decent at best. The Swiss are legit in finding scoring chances from the midfield and the counter-attack, with the latter being key in this match facing an attacking Brazilian squad.
Coutinho, Casemiro and Paulinho will likely be the midfield trio for Brazil and they are an attacking bunch that can create many scoring opportunities.
Stoke City’s Xherdan Shaqiri leads the Swiss midfield and he has a tall task in this match with the other guys in the middle. Not only do they have to help with the great Brazil attack dropping back on defense, but they have to held with the counter attack and get the ball to the striker duo of Granit Xhaka and Ricardo Rodriguez. This later duo has to take advantage of limited chances to score and the MF’s have to keep Brazil from dominating the time of possession. Yeah, tall tasks to say the least.
Switzerland is the 6th ranked team in the world according to FIFA and they have won their last five matches only conceding one goal. They did not face any powerhouse teams in those matches, but they still have to come into this one with confidence. The Swiss only lost one match in European World Cup qualifying falling 2-0 to Portugal.
Brazil will come out firing in this match to set the pace, as they look to erase the memory of their last World Cup match losing to the semifinals at home to Germany 7-1 on home soil.

The Swiss have confidence coming into this match, but that will not last long.
Brazil is on a mission in Russia and anything less than its sixth World Cup trophy will be seen a disappointment.
The Brazilians will come out firing from the get go and with their talent they will come out on top beating the Swiss 3-0 setting their tone for the tournament.
