NHL Tuesday betting picks, top parlays & value bets – 15/3/2022

There are 11 National Hockey League (NHL) games scheduled for Tuesday in the North America, starting at 7pm EST. BettingPlanet’s Anthony Varriano brings you his best bets for the day’s action, with top odds from Bovada.

Detroit Red Wings (+230) @ Edmonton Oilers (-275)

The Oilers are the biggest favorite on Tuesday with the Red Wings coming to Edmonton. Detroit has lost five straight games and seven of its last eight. The Red Wings simply allow too many goals; in their last five games, they have allowed 27 goals, which is much worse than their season average of 3.71 goals allowed per game. That won’t bode well for Detroit against the game’s greatest player, Connor McDavid.

Take Edmonton on the moneyline at -275, and consider betting on more than 6.5 total goals being scored at +100.

Florida Panthers (-230) @ San Jose Sharks (+195)

The Panthers finally lost a game in Los Angeles on Sunday, 3-2, but they traveled from the east coast for that game. San Jose has won its last two games, both over Los Angeles, and the Sharks only had to travel from Anaheim to Los Angeles to San Jose. The Sharks have had it easy lately, and the Panthers have had a few days to acclimate to the time change. Expect the Panthers to shake off the jetlag and run away from the Sharks, who’ve averaged just 2.4 goals scored per game in their last 10.

Take Florida on the moneyline and consider parlaying them with Edmonton for -105 odds. Or you could bet on the Panthers to win by two or more, which pays +105.

Colorado Avalanche (-190) @ Los Angeles Kings (+160)

Colorado got back to its winning ways at home against Calgary on Sunday, shutting out the Flames. You already know the Kings are coming off the home win over the Panthers, but if Colorado goaltender Darcy Kuemper plays like he did on Sunday, the Kings could end up buried in an avalanche of goals.

Considering the season averages, Colorado is almost a full goal better per game than Los Angeles. Don’t expect the power play to help the Kings despite Colorado’s penchant for taking penalties this season (569 penalty minutes). Los Angeles only scores on 15.6 percent of its power plays.

Colorado to win on the moneyline is the play here, and you might substitute the Avs for the Panthers in a moneyline parlay with Edmonton at +108. Taking all three teams to win outright pays +198.

Betting Colorado to win by two is also attractive at +125, but Avs leading scorer Gabriel Landeskog has been ruled out for this game. With most betting sites setting the line set at six goals, maybe stay away from the over in this one.

New York Rangers (-210) @ Anaheim Ducks (+180)

Anaheim has lost its last four games, all on the road, and the Rangers are 19-5-3 at home. The Ducks only had to travel from Long Island after Sunday’s game, but the worst is yet to come. The Ducks only managed 14 shots in their first game against the Rangers, and that wasn’t even against the great Igor Shesterkin.

It’s really hard to bet against the game’s best goalie, so don’t. Take the Rangers on the moneyline, and consider adding Edmonton and Florida for parlay odds of +188. Under six goals being scored in this one pays -115, and that’s a good bet. You might even want to parlay the under in this game with the same bet in Avalanche/Kings for +265 odds.
