888 Holdings set open 888Africa in 2022

888 Holdings Plc has entered a partnership with five other major industry experts to form a new business venture called 888Africa; this new establishment will run 888 brands in regulated African countries to introduce the online betting experience from 888 in the emerging Africa market.

888 Holdings has invested in the minority stake in 888Africa but has the right to increase and could end up owning the entire 100% of the business in Africa.

With the new partnership, 888Africa will foot the bill for brand licence fees that will give the company access to enter the African market with its operation using the 888 online betting platform. Their content will be provided through a third-party technology platform, with products and events specially designed for local bias within the African market including the likes of Kenya, Zimbabwe & Uganda.

The new venture will be led by Gaming industry experts notable among them are Christopher Coyne, former Marketing Officer and Chief Customer Officer at The Stars Group, Current Chairman of Voxbet Andrew Lee, also on the team is Alex Rutherford former Chief ProductOfficer at Editec Online, Ian Marmion, former Sportbook Trading Director at the Stars Group and Helen Scott-Allen, former CFO of Premier Bet. With plans and preparations on the ground with licencing, 888Africa plans to launch in four African markets during 2022.
