Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid

The loss was also Real Madrid’s first defeat at home since January 30, 2021, snapping a 17-7-0 unbeaten streak at Santiago Bernabéu. Madrid will try to bounce back with a win this Saturday on the road against Celta Vigo.

Celta Vigo (9-9-11) has compiled a 6-8-4 record over its last 18 games since opening the season with a disappointing 1-3-7 run. Celta extended its unbeaten streak at home to six games with its 0-0 draw against Real Betis, moving to 4-2-0 over that stretch. There is a case to be made for Celta Vigo here given their strong recent home play, but the soccer betting odds in this one list Real Madrid at -110 on the moneyline. That’s too good of a price to pass up on getting La Liga’s best team fresh off of a break with a point to prove.

Atletico Madrid vs Deportivo Alaves

Atletico Madrid (16-6-7) improved to 5-0-0 over its last five matches with a 1-0 road win over Rayo Vallecano on March 19. This winning streak comes on the heels of a 3-1-6 slump that spanned from December to mid-February. Deportivo Alaves (5-7-17) is winless in its last five games with an 0-2-3 record and has just one win since November 6, going just 1-6-10 since then.

As you’d expect, Atletico Madrid is going off as a big favorite of -300 on the moneyline in a game the club should clearly win. And while we like Atletico’s chances of extending its current winning streak to six games, the betting value in this match seems to be on Alaves as a +1.25 goal underdog. Atletico has won only one of its last five home games by more than one goal, and Alaves has not lost by more than one goal in any of its last four games. Look for these trends to continue in a 1-0 or 2-1 win going Atletico Madrid’s way.

Barcelona vs Sevilla

Barcelona (15-9-4) picked up a statement win in its 4-0 road victory over Real Madrid on March 20, moving to 5-0-0 over its last five matches and to 7-4-0 over its last 11. The club’s offense has scored at least two goals in each of its last seven matches and exactly four goals in four of its last five games. Sevilla (15-12-2), meanwhile, recorded yet another draw, this time at home against Real Sociedad. The road club in this matchup is 2-7-0 over its last nine matches but still hasn’t lost a game since November 28, with a 6-8-0 record over its last 14 games.

That unbeaten stretch comes to an end this Sunday. Barcelona is just playing too well to get flustered by Sevilla’s stingy defense. Another four-goal game isn’t likely in this one, but look for Barcelona to grind out a goal or two to get the job done and to pass up Sevilla in the Liga standings.
