NHL Saturday betting picks, odds and top parlays | 3/4/2022

Edmonton Oilers @ Anaheim Ducks betting picks

There are nine National Hockey League (NHL) games scheduled for Sunday in the Americas, starting at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.). Here’s where you should place your bets on the Sunday games. All lines provided by Bovada.

New York Rangers @ Philadelphia Flyers

The Rangers are the biggest favorite on Sunday, hosting the Flyers, who are 8-20-5 on the road and on a three-game losing streak. Philadelphia has lost four of its last five games, all on the road.

New York didn’t play Saturday and won’t play Monday, so expect Igo Shesterkin to be dominant in goal, as he’s been all season long (2.13 goals allowed per game and .934 save percentage). Take New York on the moneyline and consider taking them to win by two or more -110. With the over/under set at six, you might want to lean under in any game Shesterkin plays. It pays -105.

Florida Panthers @ Buffalo Sabres

Florida is favored on Sunday despite overcoming a four-goal deficit to beat New Jersey in overtime, 7-6, on Saturday. Spencer Knight played a little more than 20 minutes in relief of Sergei Bobrovsky, stopping all six shots on goal and getting the win. Expect Knight to start against Buffalo given Bobrovsky’s struggles on Saturday.

Even with Knight in net, the Panthers have the better goaltender based on goals allowed per game averages. And while the Panthers might not score like they did Saturday, expect them to get four, which should be enough to beat Buffalo. Bet on the Panthers on the moneyline and consider taking them against the spread at -105. Parlaying Florida with New York on the moneyline pays -127. Taking both teams against the spread pays +272.

Edmonton Oilers @ Anaheim Ducks

The Oilers are seeking their fourth straight NHL win, and the last time these two teams met, Edmonton won 7-3. The Oilers are 7-2-1 over their last 10 games, averaging almost five goals scored per game.

Anaheim is 1-6-3 in its last 10 games, allowing 3.3 goals per game and scoring just 1.8 goals per game. The Ducks slowed their freefall with a 5-0 win in Arizona on Friday, but they had lost 11 straight until then. Unfortunately for the Ducks, they’ll be back on a losing streak come Sunday. Edmonton is chasing down Los Angeles in the Pacific Division standings and needs games like these to do so.

Take the Oilers on the moneyline and to win by two or more at +120. Also consider parlaying Edmonton with Florida and New York on the moneyline for +167 odds and against the spread at +720 odds.

New York Islanders @ New Jersey Devils

New Jersey is coming off that devastating loss to Florida in overtime, in which they led by four goals. The Devils are 16-14-4 at home, but the Islanders are on a three-game winning streak. While the Islanders are just 13-14-5 on the road, they played the Rangers on Friday, so don’t expect jetlag to be a problem.

The Islanders have been buoyed by excellent netminder, Ilya Sorokin, who’s 2-1 with a .918 save percentage against New Jersey this season. That makes for a massive defensive advantage for New York, which is why you should feel confident betting on the Islanders to win.

You might also consider betting that fewer than 6.5 goals are scored in this one, which pays -110. A four-team, moneyline parlay featuring the Islanders, Rangers, Oilers, and Panthers pays +345.
