BKFC 25 preview, betting picks & fight odds – Friday, May 6

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 56

The BKFC Heavyweight Championship will be on the line this Friday night when Arnold Adams defends his title against heavyweight challenger Dillon Cleckler. Here’s a preview of that matchup and the co-main event of David Mundell vs Julian Lane in this Friday night’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 25 event in Orlando, Florida.

Main Event: Arnold Adams (-120) vs Dillon Cleckler (-110)

Arnold Adams has been with the BKFC since its inception, defeating DJ Linderman via technical knockout at BKFC 1 in 2018. Adams has compiled a 6-1-0 record with the promotion that includes a current winning streak of three straight fights, most recently defeating Joey Beltran to win the BKFC Heavyweight Championship. Four of Adams’ six career wins have by way of knockout.

Dillon Cleckler has looked dominant since joining the BKFC in 2020, stringing together three straight knockout wins including two straight first-round knockouts over Chris Jensen and Justin Thornton. Cleckler also had an impressive mixed martial arts career prior to making the switch to bare-knuckle boxing with an 11-1-0 record that included 10 knockout wins. This should be a great fight between two very talented heavyweights, but Cleckler’s recent form and history as a knockout artist make him the pick in what is essentially a pick’em for the title.

Co-Main Event: David Mundell (+135) vs Julian Lane (-165)

Julian Lane was defeated by Michael Perry at BKFC Knuckle Mania 2 to fall to 1-4 in his last five fights. David Mundell is 3-1-0 in his last four fights, with his only loss coming against former champion Hector Lombard. It’s a bit difficult to determine why Lane is going off as such a big favorite in this one. He may be the more talented boxer on paper, but his recent results have left plenty to be desired. It’s true he’s faced tougher competition than Mundell to date, but even with that in mind, the betting odds make Mundell a good value bet here in what figures to be a competitive fight.
