AGTech wins sports lottery tenders for seven Chinese regions

Beijing AGTech GOT Technology, a subsidiary of AG Tech GOT Holdings, has announced winning seven public tenders to build more sports lottery terminals across China.

The company will be successively building the terminals in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Yunnan province, Sichuan province, Jiangsu province, Hainan province, Hubei province, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. These latest bids are just a few out of the many it had already won in various provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China.

Apart from securing deals relating to sports lottery, this year AGTech won a bid to supply its technology and services to Gansu, Zhejiang, Henan, Hebei, and Jiangsu provinces, as well as the Shanghai and Tianjin municipalities.

According to the company, the wins only reaffirm “the hardware division’s continued dedication to and leading position in China’s sports lottery terminal market, demonstrating the continued effort and competitiveness of AGTech’s lottery terminals”.

It added: “AGTech will continue to enhance product innovation, ensure safety and R&D compliance, and contribute to the overall healthy development of China’s lottery market.”

Despite operating in a market monitored strictly by the government, AGTech remains in a good financial position. It recently reported revenue of HK$35.3 million for the first quarter of 2022, which is an increase of 70.2% year-on-year. It attributed the increase to higher lottery hardware sales, lottery distribution and ancillary services, and the provision of electronic payment services in Macau.

AGTech GOT Holdings, a member and sole lottery platform of Alibaba Group and Ant Group, is an integrated technology and services company that provides electronic payment services, lottery, mobile games, and entertainment, including marketing technical services and non-lottery hardware supply markets with a focus on Mainland China and Macau.
