EPL Matchweek 10 weekly betting preview & picks | October 14-15

We are officially through a quarter of this young English Premier League season and the table is starting to come together. It’s been an intriguing season that is currently headlined by Arsenal’s success, Erling Haaland’s ridiculous goal scoring tally and Liverpool’s struggles. The next stage of the season is going to be great and it starts with Matchweek 10. There are five games scheduled across this Friday and Saturday and we at BP have found our best picks for those games.

Brentford vs Brighton and Hove Albion

This is a very interesting game between two of the Premier League’s biggest surprises. Brentford are in 11th with 10 points through nine games and have rode a strong attack to get successful results. Brighton, on the other hand, have 14 points through eight games and sit in seventh place. It’s set up to be an interesting game and we are taking the home team. Brentford have been strong at home and have two wins from four games at GTech Community Stadium. Brentford should be able to score at home and this game will be decided on how their defense holds up. Their defensive strategies have let them down in the past but we think they will do just enough to get the win in this home game.

Brighton jumped out to a great start in this Premier League season but have since lost their coach to Chelsea. As a result, Brighton have one point from the two games with their new coach and it appears like Graham Potter was more important than it previously seemed. Because this team is still finding their footing under new hire Roberto De Zerbi, we are going to fade Brighton. Brighton’s strength is their defensive prowess but Brentford should be able to break them down, as they have done to many teams during this season. The key will be if Brighton’s attack shows up and we don’t expect that to happen. In this even affair, take the value on the home team and watch them push Brighton further down the table.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace

Over the past decade or so, Wilfried Zaha has been firing in goals for Crystal Palace and he is doing the same thing this season. The Ivorian attacker has four goals through seven games and he has a great opportunity to add to his tally in this game. Leicester City have the league’s worst defense and have conceded 24 goals through nine games. They have legitimately been awful at limiting opportunities and Zaha should have great opportunities to score in this contest. Leicester haven’t been able to stop anyone and Zaha is a great bet to score here. At +230, this is a great value bet for one of the most underrated players in the Premier League.

Tottenham vs Everton

It’s another Premier League matchweek and we will once again take Harry Kane to score. He is in the midst of yet another great season and he has an impressive goal-to-game ratio with eight goals in nine games. In just about any match, Harry Kane has a great chance to score due to his unmatched prolificacy for finishing. He truly only needs one chance a game to score and he is one of the most reliable goal scorers in the world. Everton have a strong defense but they will struggle at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in this contest. Tottenham’s attack is too good and they should be able to create chances against a good but not great Everton defense. Also, Kane takes the penalties for Tottenham and that adds extra value on his anytime goal scorer odds. Kane to score is one of the safest bets in the Premier League right now and until his odds significantly shift, we are going to keep taking it.
