De Minaur’s Indian Wells dream continues after a ruthless win over Hurkacz. Check out his next match, betting odds, and tournament favorites.
Top Australian Alex de Minaur delivered a dominant performance at the Indian Wells Masters in California on Tuesday, defeating former top-10 player Hubert Hurkacz 6-4, 6-0.
The world No. 10 improved to 15-4 for the season with the win, securing his place in the fourth round of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament.
De Minaur was clinical in key moments during the 75-minute match, converting all four break points he created while saving the only one he faced on serve.
Tennis betting now has the ninth seed as a +1600 shot to claim his first Masters title in Indian Wells, with Nags.bet offering the best odds.
Carlos Alcaraz remains the tournament favorite across top sportsbooks at +225, while Daniil Medvedev (+700), Stefanos Tsitsipas (+900), Taylor Fritz (+1100), and Jack Draper (+1500) are all ahead of de Minaur in the outright market.
Both Fritz and Draper picked up hard-fought wins on Tuesday as well.
Fritz faced Chile’s Alejandro Tabilo and had to rally from an early deficit, winning 10 of the final 11 games to secure a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory in under two hours. The American was a heavy -900 favorite at Nags.bet before the match.
Draper eased past returning American Jenson Brooksby but still had to grind out a 7-5, 6-4 win.
“I definitely felt it out there today; it wasn’t my cleanest tennis,” the Brit said afterward.
“But at the same time, I know that I’ve got the ability to problem-solve, and no matter how uncomfortable I’m feeling, I know they’re going to be feeling uncomfortable too.”
Draper and Fritz are set for a highly anticipated fourth-round clash on Thursday.
Tennis betting sites have yet to release odds for the match but have already set markets for de Minaur’s round of 16 showdown with Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo.
The Aussie is a strong favorite at Nags.bet, sitting at -350 to advance to his first Indian Wells quarterfinal.
