Belgium winning margin odds & free tips – FIFA World Cup betting
Belgium will look to get the chocolates and kick-start a promising FIFA World Cup campaign when it takes on Panama on Monday night.
Belgium is the big favourite at Bovada, posted at -650, Panama at +2000, and a draw at +220.
Panama may be the weakest squad in the World Cup, but they are in the main draw and anything can happen on the pitch. Belgium is not only the heavy favorite to win this game, but they also have the best betting odds to win Group G.
This is the first ever meeting between these teams.
This is Panama’s maiden voyage in the World Cup and in their last six friendlies they have a grand total of one win and that came facing Trinidad and Tobago. In those six matches they only scored two goals so you can see why Bovada has them as HUGE underdogs facing Belgium who are the 3rd ranked team in the world according to FIFA.

Belgium was more than impressive in World Cup qualifying winning nine of 10 matches and scoring 43 goals. On top of that they are unbeaten in their last five friendlies leading up to the World Cup and while not facing any major powers all five teams they raced will be playing in Russia.
There is a lot of pressure on Belgium in this World Cup, as they are in their golden generation and have many world-class players, but they have not come through in the last couple major international tournaments. However, they have the squad to go far this time around, which is not good for Panama. The striker duo of Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku combined to score 16 goals in WC qualifying and the midfield is one of the better ones in the tournament led by Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne. Also of Man City central defender Vincent Kompany may not even start this match since Panama does not feature a good attack up front.
Lukaku is the lone striker in the 3-4-2-1 formation that Belgium uses, but to keep him and the others in check up front Panama must play well in the midfield.
Panama only has four players on their squad that play in Europe and that lack of talent may be glaring in this match. Armondo Cooper is the best player in the midfield, but he will likely be pressed into playing a more defensive match with Belgium pressing the attack for 90 minutes plus.
Not surprising that Panama uses a 5-4-1 formation to pack the back line on the defensive side of the pitch. Blas Perez or Gabriel Torres will get the starting nod as the lone striker, but the best way that Panama can score is on the counter-attack. They have to pounce on those chances with them playing defense for most of the match.

Panama has to be happy to be in the World Cup, but they are very outmatched in this opener.
They will be dominated in the midfield and in the time of possession facing a Belgium squad that will not take Panama for granted since they have so much pressure on them to perform well in this tournament.
Belgium will easily win this match 4-0 and look forward to their key match in Group G play, which is facing England.
