Betsson opens South American operations center in Bogota

Betsson AB recently launched its operations center in Bogota, Colombia, in order to facilitate its continued expansion across South American markets.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Jesper Svensson, stated that the brand is excited about the new accomplishment; he also noted that this will not be the end of those expansions in the region, hence this is just a stepping stone to dominating the South American gambling industry.

“Latin America is a special region for us, so I am especially happy about the opening of this operations centre in Bogota,” he said.

“I’m confident that, thanks to the talent present in the company, we will continue our progressive growth in the region and contribute to the development of an industry based on responsible entertainment.”

By opening the Bogota center, the Stockholm-listed gambling operator is set to serve its existing brands and partnerships operating in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Chile.

The president of the Colombian trade association Fecoljuegos, Evert Montero Cardenas, commended the efforts of Betsson Group and stated that their initiative to encourage fairness and equality, group solidarity, teamwork, and accountability is quite recommendable and will enhance their operations in the nation.

“We feel pleased with the contribution of Betsson in Colombia, and we consider that the opening of its operations centre in the national territory shows once again its support to the gaming industry which, through Fecoljuegos, works to have a more competitive sector and which provides the right conditions for its further development,” said Cardenas.

“We applaud their proposal to promote actions of fair play, mutual support, teamwork, and responsibility, which adds value to the activity of Betsson Group in the country.”
