Betting tips and value odds for your Saturday NBA multi

WE’RE back again with our weekly instalment of parlaying a few NBA games together in the hopes of hitting some seriously juicy odds.

The crapshoot that is the NBA is nearing completion of the first third of the season and while the west is starting to take shape at the top, with the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs clearly leading the pack, there is just three and a half games separating the East leading Cleveland Cavaliers and the 10th placed Boston Celtics.

Saturday’s 12 game full NBA deck kicks off with the Paul George led Indiana Pacers welcoming the struggling Brooklyn Nets, the Portland Trailblazers visiting the streaking Orlando Magic and the improving New York Nets up against the woeful 1-26 Philadelphia 76ers.

The Celtics will look to close the gap on the Cavs with a clash with the Atlanta Hawks in a battle of the east, and ditto the Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat, who will square off in Miami.

Another east clash pits the Chicago Bulls against the visiting Detroit Pistons, Boogie Cousins and the Sacramento Kings head to Minnesota for a bout with the Timberwolves and the imperious Spurs have to deal with the so far disappointing Los Angeles Clippers.

Dirk and the Dallas Mavericks welcome the Memphis Grizzlies, the Denver Nuggets visit the Utah Jazz and then the late games feature the New Orleans Pelicans against the Phoenix Suns and the re-match every one has been waiting for, the Golden State Warriors against their only vanquishers this season, the Milwaukee Bucks.

It’s enough to satisfy even the most cynical NBA fan.

And it also means there is plenty of punting action to be had.

We’ve looked at the games and tried to sniff out a couple of multis that hopefully have a good chance of getting home.

Morning multi

Indiana Pacers at the line -11.5 vs. Brooklyn Nets ($1.91)

Orlando Magic at the line -5.5 vs. Portland Trailblazers ($1.91)

New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers total game score under 197.5 ($1.91)

Miami Heat to defeat Toronto Raptors ($1.52)

Brooklyn Nets at Indiana Pacers

Suggested bet: Indiana Pacers at the line -11.5 vs. Brooklyn Nets ($1.91)

Third in the east, the Pacers appear to have arrested their slump, having won three of their last four including back to back wins over Dallas and conference rival Toronto. George has bounced back from a sickening broken leg to be an even better than the man he was when he suffered the serious injury playing for Team USA, posting over 26 points per game, with nearly eight boards and four assists. Dynamic shooting guard Monta Ellis is just starting to his his straps, while CJ Miles and Rodney Stuckey provide serious scoring punch off the bench. They lack a little up front, which makes the Nets best player, centre Brook Lopez, a bit of a worry, but these are two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum and that should translate to an easy win to the Pacers on their home floor.

Portland Trailblazers at Orlando Magic

Suggested bet: Orlando Magic at the line -5.5 vs. Portland Trailblazers ($1.91)

The Magic might just be the surprise packet of season 2015/16. But can they keep it up? Just three games out of top spot, the Magic have won eight of their past 11 games and have turned their home arena into a fortress. It’s come through superb team basketball. The Magic seem to have someone new step up to the plate each night, but the catalyst has been the move of versatile two guard Victor Oladipo to the bench. Oladipo’s numbers have taken a dip, but the move has given the Magic the punch they were lacking in the second unit. They also have on of the better young point guards in the game in Elfriid Payton, whose unselfishness allows the offence to pur. The Blazers, on the back of Damien Lillard’s stellar play and CJ McCollum’s emergence, are capable of an upset, but the Magic should be too strong at home, where they have lost just four games all season.

New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers

Suggested bet: New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers total game score under 197.5 ($1.91)

The Kristaps Porzingas show heads to Philly after back to back wins over Minnesota and Portland. And this one should be a walk in the park for the 7-3 rookie who has taken the league by storm. He’ll square off against the uber talented Jahlil Okafor, a couple of nights after he battled number one draft pick Karl Anthony-Towns. The Latvian plays with heart and desire – something not seen in a Knicks uniform for many years and he, along with Carmelo Anthony and a new found scoring burst from Arron Afflalo should allow them to eclipse the 100 point mark as they have done in the past two games. It will be up to the Sixers to toe the line.

Toronto Raptors at Miami Heat

Suggested bet: Miami Heat to defeat Toronto Raptors ($1.52)

This is probably the match of the day, the feisty Raptors and their star point guard Kyle Lowry visiting a Heat team that is on a three game winning streak, with both sides holding ambitions of toppling the Cleveland Cavaliers at the pinnacle of the east. The Raps lost their first game of this road trip to the Pacers by 16 points and have a tough clash with the Charlotte Hornets tonight, before they head to Miami. The Heat, who are riding the brilliant play of Dwyane Wade, supported by Chris Bosh, Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside, will have a had a two day break and should be able to account for the tough Raptors on their home deck.
