Bundesliga 2021/22 Matchweek 30 betting picks & top odds

Bundesliga Matchweek 30

Bayer Leverkusen hosts RB Leipzig with third place on the Bundesliga table on the line this Sunday. We’ll take a look at that top-four matchup and make picks in Saturday’s Monchengladbach vs FC Koln and Sunday’s Arminia Bielefeld vs Bayern Munich in our Bundesliga Matchweek 30 best bets.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs FC Koln

Borussia Monchengladbach (10-7-12) is currently enjoying its longest unbeaten streak of the season with a 3-1-0 record over its last four matches. The club has won by the exact score of 2-0 in three of its last four matches including last Saturday’s victory on the road over Greuther Furth. Monchengladbach is 2-2-0 over its last four home games.

FC Koln (11-10-8) moved to 4-3-4 over its last 11 matches with a 3-2 win at home over Mainz on Saturday. Koln has been a tough team to predict this season, but on the road the draws have been plentiful with a 3-6-5 record away from home. We’re going to take a stab on the draw odds here at +275; Monchengladbach is playing well, but Koln is the better team and did win the last game between these two clubs 4-1 back in November. A draw seems like a more likely result than the betting odds at Bovada are indicating.

Arminia Bielefeld vs Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich (22-3-4) won but failed to cover the spread as a 2.75-goal favorite in a 1-0 win at home over FC Augsburg last Saturday. Bayern is once again going off as a big favorite, this time on the road against Arminia Bielefeld (5-11-13). The road club enters this matchup on a 5-2-0 run and is a full nine points ahead of Borussia Dortmund for first place atop the Bundesliga table.

Arminia lost to VfL Wolfsburg 4-0 on the road last weekend, falling to 0-1-5 in its last six games in the process. The club has been outscored 12-1 over that stretch with three losses by three goals or more. After last weekend’s underwhelming performance, we expect Bayern Munich to tee off with a blowout win in this spot, covering the spread this time around as two-goal favorites.

Bayern Munich -2

Bayer Leverkusen vs RB Leipzig

Bayer Leverkusen (15-7-7) settled for a disappointing 0-0 draw last Sunday on the road against VfL Bochum. Leverkusen is 3-2-2 over its last seven matches since going 4-0-0 over its previous four. The club averaged four goals per game during that four-match winning streak; the offense has been far less impressive of late averaging only one goal per game over its last five matches.

RB Leipzig (15-6-8) continued its red hot run with a 3-0 win at home over Hoffeneheim last Sunday. Leipzig is now 6-2-0 over its last eight matches with four of its last five wins coming by three goals or more. The club is playing far better than it was back in November when it lost to Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 at home and would be a great play as a road underdog here, but as a road favorite going off at +135, we’re a bit less enthusiastic. We once again see value on the draw odds; three of the last five matches between these two clubs have ended as 1-1 draws, and another close one here wouldn’t be a surprise at all.
