Casino Morongo opens California’s newest poker room

Casino Morongo opened its new poker room and bingo hall to the public this week, both were parts of their recent renovation and expansion.

Morongo Resort and Spa is a Southern California luxury resort and casino near Palm Springs. Morongo Casino Resort and Spa offers Las Vegas-style gaming alongside upscale accommodations on the Morongo Indian Reservation. Nestled into the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, the reservation spans more than 32,000 acres and overlooks the vistas of the Banning Pass.

The Morongo tribe has had to overcome many adversities as the reservation was one of nine small reservations set aside by President Grant by executive order in 1876. In 1983, the path of Morongo’s future changed when tribal members started a modest bingo hall. From this building evolved one of the oldest and most successful Native American casinos in California. The present $250 million destination which opened in late 2004, the Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa,is one of the largest tribal gaming facilities in the nation.

Physically located beside the 27-storey Morongo Resort and Spa, the new Casino Morongo poker room has the capacity for 20 tables for daily play and competitions, computerized shufflers on every table, and game-side dining choices.

The expanded poker room now provides Texas Hold’em or Omaha games; also, it will show all major sports games from six well-placed 65 inch TVs.

We’ve built two attractive new spaces for our poker and bingo clients to enjoy, and we are positive these new housing will exceed our clients’ expectations from comfort and playability.”

The new bingo has the capacity of 250 seats alongside state-of-the-art electronic tablets. And as a way to welcome the guest back, Morongo is hosting a re-opening party on Friday 1 April 2022 from 3 pm with games slated to start at 6 pm.

The bingo hall will be open and allowed to clients from 3 pm every Wednesday to Saturday, with games slated to begin at 6 pm. On Sundays, doors open at 11 am with games beginning at 2 pm.

As part of incentives during the grand opening this weekend, Morongo’s poker room will be giving $500 every hour to a Morongo Rewards member randomly, is open to players playing Texas Hold’em or Omaha from noon on Friday 1 April till midnight on Monday 4 April. Also, double jacket awards will be accessible every even hour all through the weekend.

The expansion was done by Moorefield Construction and the project follows 2020 renovations that were started on the Morongo Casino and Spa. This included the revamping of all 310 Morongo suites and guest rooms, while the renovations and expansion have given Morongo one of the biggest casino floors on the West Coast.
