Champions League Ro16 betting picks

The UEFA Champions League continues this week with four more matches to decide who reaches the quarterfinals. Below are our free UCL betting predictions for every remaining match of the round of 16.

Arsenal vs Porto

Tuesday, March 12 – 8pm GMT – Emirates Stadium

Aggregate score: 0-1

Back in the Champions League for the first time since 2017, the pressure is on Arsenal to break a run of seven straight tournaments where they have been knocked out at this stage. After an uninspiring performance in the first leg, they enter this second leg down 1-0 on aggregate after Porto winger Wenderson Galeno scored a stunner in the 94th minute.

While Porto come in with a 1-0 lead, Arsenal are heavily favoured to make it through. As the Gunners sit on top of the Premier League table, they should have far too much quality in a match where they will dominate the attacking opportunities.

Barcelona vs Napoli

Tuesday, March 12 – 9pm CET – Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys

Aggregate score: 1-1

After a thrilling 1-1 draw in the first leg, Napoli now head to Barcelona as they look to match their best-ever performance in the Champions League. With both sides having disappointing seasons defending their league titles, this is the last chance they have to secure any silverware this season.

Barcelona enter this clash on a run of eight matches unbeaten, but injuries to Pedri, Gavi and Frenkie de Jong will test their midfield depth. However, they have never lost to Napoli in European competition, and with the home advantage, Barca should still be too strong.

Atletico Madrid vs Inter Milan

Wednesday, March 13 – 9pm CET – Estadio Civitas Metropolitano

Aggregate score: 0-1

After finishing on top of Group E, Atletico Madrid were dealt arguably the toughest possible opponent. The runaway leaders in the Serie A, Inter Milan have won their past 13 matches in all competitions, including a 1-0 result in the first leg of this tie.

Atletico will relish playing in front of their home crowd. However, they have won just two of their past nine games in all competitions, and with star forward Antoine Griezmann unlikely to pass fit, Inter will be looking to shut the game down.

Borussia Dortmund vs PSV Eindhoven

Wednesday, March 13 – 9pm CET – Signal Iduna Park

Aggregate score: 1-1

After finishing on top of a group with PSG, AC Milan and Newcastle United, the expectations are high for Borussia Dortmund to progress in this tournament. However, facing PSV in the first leg, they were lucky to salvage a 1-1 draw as they were comfortably beaten across the park.

With just one loss across the Champions League and the Eredivisie this season, PSV are one of the form sides in Europe. However, as they head to Dortmund to face the ‘Yellow Wall’, it’s a different quality to their domestic competition. Despite the inconsistent form of the home side, striker Donyell Malen is one to watch against his former side after scoring five goals in his last four matches.
