Big Bash League betting is available at hundreds of online bookmakers. Some firms are better than others, however, while licensing laws and regional locking mean gamblers from certain parts of the world might not be able to access bookies that are registered in certain regulatory jurisdictions.
The question is: how do you find the right bookmaker for you?
At BettingPlanet.com, we pride ourselves on always pointing punters in the right direction. The cricket betting sites above are all trusted, fully licensed operators that offer great odds, diverse markets, lucrative rewards and first-class customer service. 2017/18 BBL title betting
Adelaide Strikers | +700 | +700 | +700 |
---|---|---|---|
Brisbane Heat | +550 | +500 | +500 |
Hobart Hurricanes | +1000 | +1000 | +900 |
Melbourne Renegades | +500 | +500 | +450 |
Melbourne Stars | +450 | +450 | +500 |
Perth Scorchers | +325 | +333 | +400 |
Sydney Sixers | +550 | +550 | +500 |
Sydney Thunder | +1000 | +1000 | +900 |
Perth Scorchers are the unsurprising favourites to take out the 2017-18 Big Bash League title. The West Australian franchise has won three of the past four campaigns, never once missing the finals in six years.
Melbourne Stars have yet to break their BBL duck, but they are expected to be there or thereabouts again this season. Their cross-town rivals, Melbourne Renegades, are tipped to improve on last year’s fifth-place finish.
Sydney Sixers were runners-up in BBL 2016-17, and most bookies have them slated for another finals campaign. The same cannot be said for Sydney Thunder, who could be facing yet another season at the foot of the table.
Brisbane Heat’s bowling attack was one of the big surprises of last season, and they will always be a threat with the likes of Brendon McCullum and Chris Lynn bashing away in the top order. Adelaide Strikers have never played in a Big Bash decider, and it remains to be seen how they cope after the departure of long-serving captain Brad Hodge.
That leaves Hobart Hurricanes, who have enjoyed little value on hefty investment in star players such as Kumar Sangakkara and Stuart Broad in recent years. Lacking experienced internationals and top-tier Australian talent, another ordinary season awaits the Tasmanian team.
Big Bash top runscorer odds
With so many top-shelf hitters on show in the BBL, there is always plenty of action around the top tournament batsman. The prodigious Heat pairing of McCullum and Lynn will be hard to beat, but experienced campaigners such as Aaron Finch, Michael Klinger and Ben Dunk should be in the mix as usual.
- $7.50 – Brendon McCullum, Michael Klinger
- $8 – Chris Lynn, Ben Dunk
- $9 – Aaron Finch, Shane Watson
- $13 – Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright
- $15 – Travis Head, Daniel Hughes

BBL top wicket-taker betting
The market for top Big Bash bowler is often much tougher to tip than the batting options. There are a handful of white-ball specialists who stand out, however, notably change-up master Andrew Tye, the ultra-consistent Ben Laughlin and West Indies spin king Sunil Narine.
- $8 – Andrew Tye
- $8.50 – James Faulkner, David Willey
- $13 – Sean Abbott, Jason Behrendorff, Ben Laughlin, Sunil Narine
- $15 – Mitchell Johnson, Clint McKay, Tymal Mills, Yasir Shah
- $17 – Dwayne Bravo, Shadab Khan, Adam Zampa
