Crystal Palace vs Arsenal EPL betting preview

Arsenal are set to take on Crystal Palace in Matchweek 22 of the English Premier League, with the London derby scheduled to take place at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

After making a rocky start to life at the Emirates, Mikel Arteta and his Gunners have registered two quick-fire victories in the span of a week.

Despite heading into their New Year’s Day match against Manchester United without a win in their last five games, Arsenal blitzed past the Red Devils with a 2-0 win and then beat Leeds United 1-0 on Monday night to secure their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Victory in the Premier League saw the Gunners climb to 10th in the standings on 27 points, a single point behind Crystal Palace.

Roy Hodgson’s grand job at the start of the campaign, one that saw his side push for a Champions League spot, has been undone with injuries that have seen Crystal Palace spiral down the table in recent months.

The Eagles have won just one of their last six games in the English Premier League to drop down to ninth on the table on 28 points.

Their 1-0 defeat to Championship side Derby County on Sunday also means that Hodgson now has all his eggs in one basket, with the Premier League being his sole priority for the remainder of the season.

Crystal Palace team news

Palace could be missing as many as 11 senior players for Arsenal’s visit this weekend.

Midfielder Max Meyer and defender Jario Riedewald became the latest additions to the ever-growing injury list after the duo went down in the FA Cup defeat to Derby County.

Skipper Luka Milivojevic is also set to miss the match against Arsenal, albeit on suspension after the Serbian received a straight red card during the FA Cup tie.

Joel Ward (knee), Scott Dann (calf), Mamadou Sakho (thigh), Andros Townsend (groin), Jeff Schlupp (groin) and Patrick van Aanholt (thigh) are all out injured.

Arsenal team news

Calum Chambers is set to miss the remainder of the season due to a serious knee injury sustained in late December.

Kieran Tierney will also miss the Selhurt trip, with his shoulder injury expected to keep him sidelined until March.

In better news for the Gunners, Hector Bellerin stands a good chance of featuring this weekend having recovered from a hamstring injury.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang odds and specials

• Aubameyang to score anytime – -117.65 at Bovada
• Aubameyang to score/Arsenal to win – +150 at Bovada

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Arsenal’s leading scorer with 15 goals in all competitions, 13 of which have come in the Premier League.

A joint winner of the 2018/19 EPL Golden Boot alongside the Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the Gabon international trails only Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy (17 goals) in the scoring charts this season.

Having scored in two of his last three EPL appearances against Palace, and with two goals in his three most recent EPL games, Aubameyang looks destined to find the back of the net against the Eagles.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal EPL betting predictions

Arsenal and Crystal Palace may both have just one win from their last five games in the English top flight, but the two London outfits seem to be heading in opposite directions. The Gunners are rising steadily under new management and should have no issues against a depleted Palace outfit.

Prediction: Arsenal half-time/Arsenal full-time – +187 at Bovada
