The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles renew their huge rivalry this Sunday in a game where the winner will take over first place in the NFC East. Both teams are 7-7 and won last week, with Dallas snapping a three-game losing streak and Philly claiming their second victory on the bounce.

The Cowboys are coming off one of their best results of the season where they put it all together in a 44-21 win over the Los Angeles Rams. They rushed for 263 yards while holding the Rams to only 23 rushing yards and outscored LA 28-7 in the first half.

The Eagles had to come from behind to claim back-to-back wins over the New York Giants and Washington Redskins, both bottom feeders in the NFC East. The team is very banged up and Carson Wentz is missing some key receivers.

The Cowboys racked up 475 yards against the Rams and gave up only 289 yards. The team went back to the run game and it worked, with Ezekiel Elliot rushing for 117 yards and Tony Pollard blowing up for 131 rushing yards. Pollard had not rushed for over 28 yards in his previous eight games.

Dak Prescott only passed for 212 yards but had two touchdowns and no interceptions. The Dallas QB ranks second in the NFL for total passing yards, behind only Tampa Bay’s Jameis Winston.

The Cowboys have struggled for consistency this season and will be tested by an Eagles defense that ranks 18th in the league against the pass and third against the run. The Philly run defense will be key facing Elliot, who rushed for 111 yards when America’s Team beat the Eagles 37-10 in Arlington earlier this season.

Philadelphia are shorthanded with their slew of injuries. They have had to improvise, as highlighted when Greg Ward Jr. – a former college QB that was on the practice squad at the beginning of the season – caught the game-winning TD in the win over the Redskins.

Wentz passed for 266 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the win over Washington, while Ward Jr. and TE Zach Ertz each had 61 receiving yards. RB Miles Sanders rushed for 122 yards with a score.

The Dallas defense ranks eighth in the league against the pass and 12th against the run. Their pass defense is vital in this game, as Wentz has brought the Eagles back with his arm in the last two weeks and may not get much help from the Philly run game.
