Chelsea will host Newcastle United for their final fixture of what has been a very poor season for the Blues, with Frank Lampard’s team only winning one of their last 10 matches. Chelsea currently sit on 43 points, and even if they win on Sunday to reach 46 points, they will still record their lowest points tally in the EPL era. As for Newcastle, they have wrapped up their first top-four Premier League finish since the 2002/03 season, securing UEFA Champions League football for the first time in 20 years.

In what has been a 10-game stretch to forget for the one-time league leaders, Arsenal will look to end their season with a home win against Wolverhampton. The Gunners held a five-point lead over Manchester City halfway through the season, but over the final 10 games they let that lead slip and now sit eight points behind the champions in second place. Wolves have slowly but surely removed themselves from the relegation battle in the second half of the season, with Julen Lopetegui’s team rallying behind him to climb the table and possibly finish as high as 11th position if results go their way.

Over at Goodison Park, Everton host Bournemouth in a do-or-die clash where only a win will guarantee their place in the EPL for next year. The Toffees have the benefit of a two-point advantage over both Leicester City and Leeds United; however, with a loss to Bournemouth they could be jumped by both teams, and if they draw and Leicester win, Everton will still be relegated due to their inferior goal difference. Bournemouth only sit two places and six points ahead of Everton, so both teams will go into this clash believing they can win.

Leicester City into their clash with West Ham United as favourites with most soccer betting sites, and only a win will be good enough for the Foxes to remain in the Premier League. Luckily for Dean Smith and his squad, they will take on a West Ham team who will be trying to avoid any injuries ahead of their Europa Conference League final. Leicester are winless in their last five matches, so with a jam-packed King Power Stadium expected on Sunday afternoon, they will have to be at their very best against an improved West Ham side.

As usual on the final day of the Premier League season, there will be a few games that mean nothing to both teams, and that is exactly what this fixture between Southampton and Liverpool will be. Southampton have been destined for relegation for most of the second half of this season, while Liverpool’s chances of finishing in the top four were dashed after wins for Newcastle and Manchester United midweek. The Saints are on a 12-game winless streak, while the Reds are unbeaten in 10 matches.

Leeds United will host Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road with both teams seeking season-ending victories to put a cap on disappointing 2022/23 Premier League campaigns. For Leeds to avoid relegation, they need to win this game and hope both Leicester City and Everton lose. Last time these two met, Tottenham won the game in a seven-goal thriller. We anticipate another high-scoring affair this Sunday.

It is perhaps fitting that two of the most improved teams in the Premier League will end their respective campaigns facing one another. A Danny Ings brace led Aston Villa to a 2-1 victory over Brighton last time they met; however, with Ings now plying his trade at West Ham, we will see rising star Ollie Watkins lead the attack for the home side. Villa need to win to make sure they finish above Tottenham and Brentford to secure a Europa Conference League qualification spot.

Crystal Palace will host Nottingham Forest with both teams clear of the relegation zone due to a resurgent second half of the season. Roy Hodgson has done a great job with Palace after he became the interim manager back in March, winning five of his nine matches and taking the Eagles to 11th position on the table. Nottingham Forest secured their Premier League survival with a 1-0 upset victory over Arsenal last weekend, meaning all three of the recently promoted teams will stay in the Premier League for a second year. Eberechi Eze has scored six goals in his last eight games, and we will be backing him to score again this weekend.

After locking in Champions League football, Manchester United will host Fulham at Old Trafford to complete the 2022/23 EPL season. The Red Devils have endured some ups and downs in Erik Ten Hag’s first term as manager, but with their near-perfect record at home this season, they have done enough to hold off the likes of Liverpool and Brighton in the race for a top-four finish. Fulham would see their 10th-place finish in their return to the Premier League as a success, recording their first back-to-back season in the top flight since the 2012/13 season.

Brentford will finish in the middle of the table for the second season in a row, after they were promoted for the 2021/22 season. The Bees have a slim chance to lock in a Europa Conference League qualification spot with a win, needing Aston Villa and Tottenham to lose. We expect to see a similar Manchester City line-up to that which faced Chelsea, as they have already won the title and they have FA Cup and UEFA Champions League finals around the corner. Pep Guardiola will be thinking about the treble, and he won’t be risking his best players in a dead rubber. With that in mind, Brentford could be a chance to cause an upset at home and get the win.
