English Premier League Matchweek 37 Best Picks & Top Odds: EPL Sunday, May 15

The English Premier League season is winding to a close and it looks more and more like Manchester City will once again be champions.

Barring an epic collapse, they appear to have an insurmountable lead on Liverpool, whose late title surge will come up short.

City deserves it. They were in front for most of the season and most weeks looked unbeatable.

Of course, they haven’t technically clinched but City has been too good to project a loss for them in either of their last two games.

If they do, however, that opens the door for Liverpool.

Regardless, Saturday’s FA Cup has pushed this matchweek’s EPL betting slate back to Sunday and EPL fans will be treated to seven games.

Here are some picks to hopefully make you some money during the waning hours of this Premier League season.

Burnley FC +1.5 -115 at Tottenham Hotspur -1.5 +102

This is quite an unorthodox pick as Tottenham is clearly the better team. Tottenham are in a Champions League qualifying race with Arsenal and Chelsea and have 65 points through 36 games. That puts them in fifth place.

Burnley are in 17th place with 34 points through 35 games. It has been a struggle for Burnley but this is more of a pick against Tottenham.

The Spurs are extremely inconsistent and they tend to falter after big wins. Last weekend, they dominated Arsenal in a massive rivalry game. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them struggle in this game against an inferior opponent.

Beyond Tottenham’s problems with consistency, Burnley has actually been pretty decent as of late. They only have one loss in their last five games and in order for this bet to hit, they can’t lose by two or more. That’s extremely possible given Burnley’s form.

Striker Wout Weghorst will cause problems for Tottenham’s mediocre defense and the questions will be surrounding Burnley’s defense.

Can they stop Harry Kane and Heung Min Son? It’s unlikely they can completely shut them down but this line gives Burnley a lot of wiggle room.

Tottenham seldom put a string of good games together, so take Burnley and hope they can keep it close.

Brighton & Hove Albion Moneyline +155 at Leeds United Moneyline +175

All things considered, this is a pretty bland game. The only real storyline will be Leeds’ potential for relegation.

Leeds currently are in a relegation spot with 34 points through 36 games. One could say they will be motivated to climb out of the basement but they haven’t been able to do that all season. They have lost three games in a row and have played a very sloppy brand of football.

It looks like the team has given up on the season and this time, Brighton will be there to take advantage of a Leeds squad that desperately needs improvement in all facets of the game.

Brighton have had a surprisingly solid season and have themselves in line for a top 10 finish. That’s something big they can build off of for next season as they have developed a strong core of players. Brighton have won their last two games and should dismantle Leeds.

Sure, they don’t have a qualification spot to play for but they are simply a better squad than Leeds. Leeds have one of the worst defenses in the league and that will allow Brighton goalscorers Leandro Trossard and Neal Maupay plenty of room to operate.

Expect Brighton to win this game convincingly as these teams have been trending opposite ways and it hasn’t been a good thing for this lowly Leeds side.
